A 6 shot 160 bore self cocking bar hammer percussion pepperbox revolver, by Conway, Manchester, 7” overall, barrels 2¼” with Birmingham proofs, the signed frame, trigger guard, butt strap and butt cap engraved with scrolls, finely chequered grips having lozenge shaped German silver screw plates. Good Working Order and Condition, retaining traces of original finish. Plate 32

A good pre WWII Dutch Grenadier officer’s sword, slightly curved, plated fullered blade, 33½”, with Eickhorn, Solingen squirrel mark at forte, and etched “Yserhouwer” in scroll on one side, with “Regiment Grenadiers” on backstrap, angular gilt stirrup hilt with acorn finial to crossguard, diamond langets, the outer one bearing applied silver plated grenade, knucklebow with ornamental panel and applied crowned W cypher on the outer face, lion’s head pommel and plain backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its plated scabbard (band of rust to lower part and another to chape). Sword Near Mint Condition. Plate 24
A fine German double barrelled 20 bore flintlock sporting gun, by “Wittemann in Giessen”, c 1790, 51½” overall, lightly browned barrels 35¾” with 10” flat side ribs at the breech end, and signed on the top rib; plain rounded line engraved locks having swan neck cock with sharp medial ridge and square ended pans and frizzens; the nicely figured pale walnut halfstock having horn fore end cap , the butt with cheekpiece, carved with flowers and scrolls around the breech tang, throat pipe trigger guard and cheekpiece; steel mounts include throat pipe, trigger guard and butt plate tang with classical urn type finials, trigger guard bow engraved with panel depicting hunting dog attacking a deer, butt plate tang also engraved with hunting scene, the wrist with shell embossed silver escutcheon engraved with initials and surrounded by inlaid silver wire scrolls; with sling swivels and horn tipped wooden ramrod. Very Good Working Order and Condition for age, the locks and mounts with original bright finish. Plate 29
A Third Reich SA dagger, by Gustav Wirth, Solingen Frafrath, with nickel silver mounts, in its anodised sheath, the crosspiece stamped “Nm” (SA group Nordmark) and engraved in typical script “Brg. 16.22. R187 24102”, the upper sheath mount similarly engraved. GC (anodised sheath finish scratched and worn). Plate 8
An officer’s 1816 (Regency) pattern shako badge of The 31st (Huntingdonshire) Regiment, silver plated XXXI in the centre, within a scroll “Peninsula” and wreath of laurel with a bow at the base, 2 fastening loops. Good Condition, retaining a little gilt (“Peninsula” scroll loose, junction of crown resoldered). Plate 1
A good 55 bore flintlock boxlock belt pistol, by D Scott, Edinburgh, 7” overall, turn off barrel 2-3/8” with London type viewer’s marks, frame signed in ovals within foliate swags, with raised pan, hidden trigger and top safety which also secures the frizzen, plain walnut slab butt having silver shield shaped escutcheon and 2¾” steel belt hook attached to the left side. Good Working Order and quite crisp Condition (a few minor bruises to the butt). Plate 32
A massive Indian bowie knife, blade 12” in length and 3” across at forte, of traditional form with large shallow back fuller and imitation watered patterns overall, silver plated hilt with tapered tips to crossguard, lower band, sidebands up to grooved pommel., horn grips set with arrows and 6 small studs. Very Good Condition. Plate 16
A 19th century Caucasian kindjal, panelled blade 14”, with narrow central fuller, ivory grips of traditional form secured by studs (stud buttons missing), in its leather sheath with silver locket and chape, the nielloed panels on the outer side en suite with lower band and strap to hilt. Good Condition Plate 25
A Third Reich SA dagger with full Rohm inscription, by F W Holler, Solingen, with nickel silver mounts, the crosspiece stamped “Wf” (SA group Westfalen), in its sheath. Basically GC (the blade worn and lightly pitted overall, the sheath, which is probably not the original, very worn). Note: Holler is not one of the known makers of Rohm daggers.
A good quality 60 b ore percussion boxlock pocket pistol by Egg, London, 5½” overall, turn off barrel 1½” with broad fern tip engraved border at muzzle and narrow engraved border at breech; Birmingham proved; the signed frame engraved with borders and foliage; with hidden trigger, unusual shaped flat nosed hammer and plain walnut butt with rectangular silver escutcheon. Good Working Order and Clean Condition. Plate 32
A late 19th century Moroccan jambiya, curved blade 8½”, double edged at point, darkwood grip (small crack) with crimson cord wriststrap, Eastern silver pommel cap engraved overall, ensuite with long panelled sheath, in elaborate scrolls and stylized foliage. Good Condition. Plate 25
A Victorian 1887 Heavy Cavalry officer’s undress sword, mounted with late Victorian RA officer’s blade 34½” by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall (No 30354), etched with crown, Royal Arms, traces of Royal Artillery and thunderbolt, foliage, blank panel with hand engraved initials “BV 1891”, pierced scroll guard, steel mounts, silver wire bound fishskin covered grip, in its steel scabbard. Good Condition (blade some areas of heavy pitting and ground for action) Plate 21 Note: The sword of Berkeley Vincent, 2nd Lieut RA 1891, Captain 1900, Transfers as Major 6th Inniskilling Dragoons (when the blade must have been rehilted) 1908, Lt Col 1917, Colonel Commandant 1922, retired rank Brigadier General 1924. Vincent served in Gibraltar 1891-93, India 1896-1901, China War 1900-1 (medal), South Africa 1901-2 (QSA 5 clasps), Russo Japanese War 1904-5, attached Japanese First Army in Manchuria 1914-18, served on General Staff in France, wounded, 5 times MID, CB 1919, CMG 1916, served Kurdistan 1923, MID medal, 1922-24 Colonel Commandant Military Forces, Iraq, Knighted 1924. Died 1963
A presentation kukri of the 4th Gurkha Rifles, panel etched blade 12”, with regimental badge and “Presented by Gurkha officers R.G. 4th Gurkhas” on one side and antelope chased by lion on the other, in panels, Eastern silver mounted horn hilt, in green baize sheath with foliage embossed sheet silver locket and chape, the locket incorporating regimental badge, suspension chain.
