Lord Kitchener of Khartoum, a fine French silver-gilt and mother-of-pearl dessert service for thirty, by Robert Linzeler, Paris circa 1910, comprising: dessert knives, forks and spoons, the tapering handles applied with foliate scroll mounts and inset with a 'K' below a Viscount's coronet, the reverse of the bowls and three pronged tines with a plain rat-tail, in a fitted suede lined wooden case, the hinged cover with a carrying handle and initialled, length of spoon 18cm. (90) Provenance: Lord Kitchener and thence by descent to the present owner. This set would have been commissioned between 1902, when he was made a Viscount, and 1914, when he was raised to an Earl.

Great War Manchester Regiment / Labour Corps Medal Trio, 1914-15 Star named to “2410 SJT. J. CLAYTON. MANCH.R.”, British War and Victory medal Pair named to “2410 SJT. J. CLAYTON. MANCH.R.” Medals remain in good condition. John Clayton enlisted into the Manchester regiment in October 1914 and served in Gallipoli from the 5th July 1915 before transferring to the Labour Corps. He discharged sick in 1919 and is entitled to a Silver War Badge.
Great War Yorkshire Regiment 1914-15 Star Medal Trio, 1914-15 star named to “18371. PTE B. BROWN. YORK:R.”, British War and Victory medal pair named to “18371. PTE B. BROWN. YORK.R.”. Medals remain in generally good condition. Private Bernard Brown enlisted into the Yorkshire regiment in December 1914 and landed at Gallipoli on the 8th September 1915. He was later discharged in 1918 and is entitled to a Silver War Badge
Post 1902 2nd East Yorks Royal Garrison Artillery Volunteers Officers Home Service Helmet, superb example of the blue cloth covered cork home service pattern helmet complete with its frosted silver officers Kings crown helmet plate, leather backed white metal linked chin chains, silvered rosette side bosses, cross base with rosettes and ball top. Helmet is complete with the original leather sweatband to the interior. Paper label to the inside with pencilled name “Captn Moss Blundell”. The helmet remains in excellent condition with much of the frosted silver finish to the fittings. London Gazette 25th September 1908 states “Captain Frederick Blundell Moss-Blundell, from the 2nd East Riding of Yorkshire Royal Garrison Artillery (Volunteers) to be Major. Dated 1st April, 1908”.
Early Victorian Lord Lieutenant / High Sheriffs City of London Full Dress Coatee Tunic & Epaulettes, fine scarlet cloth with two rows of silvered fine quality tunic buttons with the crowned crest of the City of London to the centre. Heavy bullion embroidered acorns to blue / black stand up collar. Cuffs also with bullion decoration. Reverse of the coatee has bullion embroidered crowned order of the garter tail ornaments. Partial quilted lining to the interior of the coatee. Accompanied by the original matching pair of full dress epaulettes, having silver wire fringe ends and bullion embroidered crowned order of the garter insignias to the centre. Both epaulettes have the silvered City of London buttons. The set shows heavy wear and some mothing to the coatee, the order of the garter motifs have damage and stitching faults. In need of some light restoration.

Royal Air Force Air Ministry Issue Chaplains Hallmarked Silver Holy Communion Set, consisting of chalice, circular plate, two glass bottles with silver tops and wooden box. All housed into a fitted carry case with Air Ministry marked. The chalice and plate are hallmarked for Sheffield 1942 by Frank Cobb & Co Ltd, the two glass bottles are hallmarked for London 1943 by Tudor Art Metal & Planting Co. Very interesting item.

Large and Heavy 19th Century Silver Mounted Arabic Sword Shamshir, earlier curved single edge blade 80cms. Crosspiece with applied oval gold panels, engraved borders, whorled finials, 2 piece horn grips with silver mounts; in its silver mounted scabbard, twin hanging bands with suspension rings, mounts engraved overall with flowers, foliage and geometric designs, large bottom mount also with niello decoration. Good condition (requires cleaning overall).
^ Unusual 19th Century Persian Dagger Jambya, curved double edge blade with raised central rib, walrus ivory hilt carved in relief on one side with seated king holding a mace, and on the reverse with an ascetic smoking a pipe and seated beneath a tree containing a perched parrot, the pommel carved in relief with a perched parrot, borders inlaid with brass nail heads; in its black leather covered sheath with silver toggle and bone finial. Blade 22cms, overall 33cms. Good condition.

Rare Indian Muslim Polearm Head Bident, formed as a pair of thick wavy blades emanating from a roundel decorated with silver koftgari Islamic inscriptions, the date AH1215 (=1800AD), and a horse and a fish on each side, tapered polygonal iron socket with stylised lion’s head and retaining some silver foil decoration. Overall 50cms. Good condition.
Rare Moghul Indian Jade Hilt Dagger Khanjar, 18th/19th century, recurved blade fitted with an iron socket to take a commensurate tongue projecting from the hilt, pale green/grey jade hilt of conventional form carved overall in relief with stylised flowering plants. In its fabric covered wooden sheath with pierced silver chape. Blade 27cms, overall 40cms. Good condition, socket at top of blade badly rusted, fabric covering to sheath as found.
^ Indian Dagger Khanjarli, late 18th century, recurved watered blade cut with sharp fullers and with raised central ridge, 4 piece ivory grips secured by pierced silver rivet heads, iron knuckle bow with silver foil covering and with stylised lion head finial set with a silver ring, in its velvet covered wooden sheath with engraved silver chape. Blade 21.2cms. Good condition, silvering to hilt incomplete, a little rodent damage to pommel.

Blade 82cms. Good condition, some rust to hilt and top of blade.
