A novelty silver mounted pepper in the form of an owl with glass eyes, the main body in a tiger tooth (London 1882 by W.F.W. in oval punch possibly William Frederick Williams) 7.6 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has a repair to the tooth and several cracks. The silver is in need of a good clean. Large collection of cleaning fluid around the pepperette top. Various areas of solder work visible, especially to the collar at the top of the body and in line with the two hairline cracks on the tooth. In need of a clean. There is also a blob of solder between the owl's legs. Wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more detail.
