Fine quality unusual 19th century French silver gilt combined perfume spray and vinaigrette in the form of a silver gilt flintlock pistol, with octagonal barrel and heavily engraved decoration set with turquoise and garnets, the sliding perfume projector in the barrel and vinaigrette concealed in the butt, flintlock hammer with turquoise striker, concealed trigger and silver chain to butt, marks to rim of vinaigrette cover - lozenge RF and Boar's Head, 11cm overall length with spray retracted CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Gilding slightly worn, 5 Garnets missing. Flintlock mechanism and trigger appear to work but folding mechanism on the trigger not always. We are unable to confirm if atomiser works but sprayer does slide in and out of barrel
Late 19th / early 20th century Chinese silver three piece tea set - comprising teapot of melon form, with panels decorated with bamboo foliage and warriors, spout with raised tortoise or turtle, dragon handle and hinged domed cover with dragon-head finial, matching sugar and cream - stamped Chinese character marks. All at approximately 29ozs, teapot 22cm across CONDITION REPORT General overall condition very good. No evidence of major repair. Teapot has a small hole in the handle approximately half way down the spine of the dragon. Rim inside cover slightly distorted and dragon. Finial whiskers are bent. Cream jug has a small crack between dragon head and its body on the handle, foot is slightly distorted, sugar is undamaged. Sugar and cream marked on base, teapot inside cover

Fine 14th century Japanese Tachi blade, by Rai Kuninaga, of curved form, signed on tang - Rai Kuninaga (of Settsu), second quarter, 14th century, silver habaki in shirasaya mounts - with old collection labels and Christie's lot labels, the blade 70.9cm long. Rai Kuninaga was a pupil of Rai Kunitoshi of Kyoto; his school was sometimes called Nakashima Rai after that area in Settu province, now part of modern Osaka. Provenance: Ex-Christie's Exceptional Japanese sword blades from a collection formed during the Meiji period - Tuesday 5th June 1979 - lot 95. Sold with copy of catalogue with description
