NOVELTY TEAPOT. A Sadler, WWI tank teapot. CONDITION REPORTS: This teapot is in generally good, original condition. There are no chips or cracks and no evidence of repairs or restoration. The lid has some 'speckling' in the glaze, especially on the left-hand side and around the 'join' between knop and lid. The pot and lid both have general crazing, commensurate with age. There is no mark on the base except MADE IN ENGLAND (impressed) and a silver lustre painters mark (possibly 'N'). There is also a remnant of a star-shaped manilla price label.

AYNSLEY SET. A set of Aynsley coffee cans & saucers (one cup missing), in silver Mappin & Webb holders. CONDITION REPORTS: The 6 saucers are in good condition, with no cracks or chips. one cup is in good condition, however the remaining four cups all have some very minor chips to the rims. All the silver mounts are in good condition with no splits. The case has some cuffs around the edges.

NOVELTY TEAPOT. A Sadler racing car, novelty teapot. CONDITION REPORTS: This teapot is in fair condition. There is a small hairline crack on the flange, where the lid would fit. There are no other chips, cracks or restoration. There is a small unglazed area (2 pinheads) on the top of the steering wheel, which is a part of the manufacturing process. The lustre is not rubbed and the teapot is generally not crazed. The base is impressed, MADE IN ENGLAND, REGISTERED NO. 820236. There is a silver lustre painters mark, BC.

PORTABLE FLASK & CUPS. A cut glass flask with silver plated mount & matching plated cups, by John Dixon & Sons. Leather carrying case. Height of flask 20cm. CONDITION REPORTS: The glass flask is in good, original condition, with no chips or cracks. There is a little light surface scratching where the flask has been put inside the cups. The bayonet clasp is secure. The two cups are also in good condition. no dents or splits, but do have light surface scratching, commensurate with use. The leather carrying case is also in good condition with no damage or repairs, but has obviously been used, so is mildly scratched etc. On the inside, there is a flange where the leather lid fastens. This flange is covered with a soft, chamois-type material, which has begun to deteriorate.

CORNISH SERPENTINE. A set of three Edwardian, silver mounted, red Cornish serpentine condiments. London 1920/1921. CONDITION REPORTS: The height of the mustard is 8.5cm, there is a natural floor/vein in the base. There is a little movement to the lid. The date is 1920, not 1901 as shown. The height of the salt and pepper is 8cm. The pepper has a natural floor/vein in the base, and around the body and a small bruise just under the silver mount. The salt has a very small chip on the outside edge of the foot and the silver lid has a crease on its edge. ** Both the pepper and salt are dated 1921, not 1901 as stated in the catalogue.
