Gymnastics - "Turnfest". 1896-1938 Picture postcards, labels and ephemera illustrating the history and postal history of the "Turnfest" German Gymnastics movement, including silver medallions (2), 1902 Linz Kreisturnfestplatz cachet, datestamps for 1912 Prague 6th Sokol Turnfest and similar events in Kornenberg (1921), Linz (1922), Neustadt (1924), Graz (1925) Vienna (1925), Innsbruck (1930), also competitors identification cards, membership cards, many coloured or photographic picture postcards, etc. (c.200).
Mid-20th century stirrup cup sets - including a four-piece silver plated example, housed in a pig-skin leather case, monogram E.W.T together with a miniature version of the same. This lot includes an Asprey's crocodile-skin cigarette case, monogrammed E.W.T, crocodile -skin glasses case and cigar case. Note: Provenance: formerly from Glympton Park and then by descent to the current owner.

(2)Condition ReportThe rear of the cigarette box has a hole approx 7mm across. The butter dish has in indentation to the centre (see images).

George III silver wine funnel and strainer, of traditional form with reeded rim and integrated sieve, fully marked, detachable funnel stem, London hallmark dated 1802, mm John Emes, approx 77.9 gms. (*cr). This lot includes a George III brandy ladle, with a George III coin dated 1787, baleen twisted handle with silver finial approx 34 cms in length. (2) Condition ReportSome minor surfaces scratches and nicks as to be expected and commensurate with age and use. The interior of the funnel stem shows signs of early soldering repair to a split (see image), scarcely visible from the outside.

A Victorian silver combined sovereign and vesta case, Birmingham dated 1898, of rectangular form, profusely engraved with foliage, the front having a vacant shield form cartouche, to one end a spring loaded cover with strike and to the other end a suspension ring with concealed push button releasing the hinged cover over the spring loaded sovereign receptacle, approx 7 x 3 cms, approx 35.4 gms.
