WW2 German Luftwaffe Summer Pattern Officers Peaked Cap, fine example of the special pattern peaked cap issued for Luftwaffe officers during the summer and in North Africa. The cap is standard body with silver bullion wire piping bordering the central ribbed cloth band. Officers pattern bullion cockade and correct white backed bullion Luftwaffe cap eagle on press stud backings. Original peak and officers bullion chin cords. Interior with leather sweatband and fine quality officers lining with celluloid diamond. Cap is in very good condition showing just light service wear.
Scarce Third Kent Volunteer Artillery (Royal Arsenal) Officers Full Dress Sabretache, fine near mint example being bullion silver wire embroidered Royal Arms with velvet scroll having “THIRD”, bullion embroidered wreath, silvered artillery field piece insignia and three part velvet scroll with bullion embroidered “KENT ROYAL ARSENAL ARTILLERY”. Black cloth backing and thick silver braid to the front. Black leather rear complete with the original pouch. Housed in its original black leather foul weather cover. The Royal Arsenal at Woolwich formed a volunteer Artillery unit from men working at the factory. In the 1880’s the unit was re-named 3rd Kent Volunteer Artillery (Royal Arsenal) with its HQ and eight batteries at Woolwich. The 3rd Kent Artillery won the Queens Prize for position Artillery at the National Artillery Association competition held at Shoeburyness 1895,1897 and 1898. In 1902 the unit was redesigned 3rd Kent Brigade Royal Garrison Artillery. The Royal Arsenal is heavily connected with the English Football Team Arsenal FC, the teams first captain was David Danskin who along with 15 of his other munitions workers from the Royal Arsenal formed the club, known at the time as Dial Square.

East Riding of Yorkshire Imperial Yeomanry Officers Lance Cap, fine example of the leather bodied officers lance cap fitted with silver gilt multi-piece officers lance cap plate having crowned Edward VII cipher above running fox, three part scroll with regimental details, laurel spray and Yorkshire rose. Velvet backed officers linked chinstrap. Ribbed French grey cloth top with gilt edging and patent leather top. Gilt metal lion head side bosses and silvered Yorkshire rose plume socket. Helmet is complete with a white feather plume having gilt metal socket fitting. Helmet retains the original leather sweatband and crimson cloth lining. Very good example overall.
Bedfordshire Imperial Yeomanry Officers Lance Cap, fine example of the black leather bodied officers lance cap fitted with silver gilt officers helmet plate with crowned Imperial eagle with castle to centre of chest, enclosed in laurel and oakleaves wreath. Velvet backed officers chinstrap and gilt metal lion head side bosses. Black ribbed cloth to the sides of the mortar board with patent leather top. Gilt metal roped plume socket with plain button. Helmet is complete with a black feather plume but not gilt mount. Interior with leather sweatband and cloth lining. Hawkes tailors logo to the interior crown.
Imperial German U-Boat Uniform and Headdress Grouping of U-86 and U-97 Interest, all belonging to a enlisted ranks and housed in his original wooden storage case. He appeared to serve on both U-86 and U-97. The grouping consists of his original enlisted ranks “Donald Duck” type cap with silver wire thread cap tally “III. UNTERSEEBOOTS = FLOTTILLE III”. Cap has black cloth lining to the interior with remains of issue stamps. Another blue cap in very worn condition with red issue stamps to the interior but no cap tally; white naval jersey top with blue bib having ink stamps to the lower section “B.A.W. 17.5.11 2”; special pattern white fatigue trousers; blue naval issue top and trouser set; black neck tie; original white bib having issue stamps and name of the original owner of the grouping “Lippmann” on period label. Accompanying the uniform items are a number of large frames photographs of pre-WW1 naval interest and grouping of snapshot and postcard size photographs taken on board U-Boat and crew etc. Interesting photograph of ship sunk by his U-Boat. Many images are annotated on the reverse side. The set is all housed in grey painted storage case with his initials to the lower corner. Good condition and interesting set.
WW2 Infantry Assault Award Citation and Combat Award, consisting of A5 award citation for the Infantry Assault badge in silver awarded to Schutzen Bernhard Terpoorten 8./I.R 504. The award was for combat service in Russia on 16.5.1942. Accompanied by the original silver grade Infantry assault combat badge by S H u Co with original pin and catch fixing to the reverse. Third Reich SA Marine Dress Dagger, good untouched example with dyed black wooden handle which is fitted with SA eagle and enamel SA device. Nickel silver fittings with the lower guard stamped to the reverse “Sw”. Housed in its early black anodised scabbard with nickel silver mounts. Single leather hanging strap attached to the scabbard. Double edged blade with motto “Alles fur Deutschland”. No makers trademark to the reverse of the blade. Some staining to the blade. The blade measures 22cms, overall 36 ½ cms.
French Horizon Blue Kepi, good example of a WW1 style kepi in horizon blue cloth with dark blue piping towards the top section. Red felt “17” on black square cloth to the centre. Leather peak, strap and flaming grenade horizon blue painted side buttons. Leather sweatband and black cloth lining to the interior. Silver leaf Paris tailors label to the interior crown. Kepi is mounted with a pair of drivers goggles. Good example.
Grouping of Officers Cap Badges, consisting of fine silver gilt Northamptonshire regiment with two lug fittings to the reverse , silver gilt two piece Kings Liverpool regiment with two lug fittings to the reverse, silvered Kings Own with two lug fittings to the reverse, silver (not hallmarked) two piece 4th / 7th Dragoons with two lug fittings to the reverse and 3x Royal Irish Fusiliers officers collar badges. WW2 German Made Bulgarian Airforce Observers Qualification Badge, fine quality multipiece constructed silver gilt and enamel example with screw back fitting to the reverse. Dish is stamped with makers details “FRIEDRICH SEDLATZEK BERLIN S.W.68 FRIEDRICHSTR.205”. Remains in excellent overall condition. Worn by Luftwaffe observers serving with the Bulgarian Airforce during WW2.
NORWICH 1959 Two postcards of the 1959 Norwich Cup team each signed by the players on the reverse, one signed by eleven, the other by ten plus a picture of some of the 59 players in a frame together with a set of coins for 1959 consisting of a half-penny, threepenny bit, silver sixpence, . Two separate shillings, a two shilling coin and a half-a-crown coin. Frame measures circa 7" x 5". Good
ARSENAL FAIRS CUP WINNERS MEDAL 1970 The Fairs Cup winners medals were in the form of a replica trophy mounted on a plinth. These were the actual winners medals / trophies issued by UEFA and presented after the 2nd leg of the Final. Arsenal lost the 1st leg 3-1 in Belgium but triumphed with a 3-0 home win. The trophy is in total 8 inches, 6 inches for the silver hallmarked trophy on a 2 inch plinth. The trophy is inscribed "Coup Internationale Des Villes de Foires Trophee Noel Beard". The plinth has a small metal shield inscribed Arsenal F.C. Winners 69/70 and inscribed on the plinth are the names of all 12 cities that appeared in the first Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Competition 1955-1958. The players were each awarded a trophy but it Is not individually inscribed. There were only 13 Fairs Cup Finals and we are unaware whether this form of medal was issued for each competition, therefore they are scarcely seen. This was Arsenal's first European trophy. MEDALS Two medals, one hall-marked silver and inscribed on the front "Norwich City Football League 1897-98" and on the reverse "J.Moore". The second medal appears to be silver with gold shield and is hall-marked and inscribed "J.Moore Batting 1902" on the front and "Carrow C.C. 2nd XI" on the other side. Generally good

A Wenger penknife, a collection of corkscrews and bottle openers, a set of 50 cigarette cards of soldiers uniforms and 49 of vintage cars, a pair of Silver Jubilee wine glasses with engravings of the Queen and Prince Philip and a set of Britain's first decimal coins CONDITION REPORTS It is not known whether the penknife is a watchmaker's penknife though its proportions would suggest probably not as all pieces too "chunky".
