Velum piece inscribed "Recipes and Formulas for the manufacture of Cordials Excisable and Non Excisable - Fruit Syrups, Essences, Extracts and etc - Awarded thirty-five Gold and Silver Medals for purity and general excellence". Thirteen sheets in all - see images for examples. Obviously has been folded for some time, folds very defined. Other manuscripts include: 1.Black clothboard bound edition with tooled leather spine and corners, with lettered index to front and various numbered pages including various recipes and remedies in various pencil, ink, sepia etc. 2. Fabric covered bearing calendar to interior for 1903 and 1904, ownership inscription "Frances M Wuff Recipe Book...." see images for sample pages. 3. "Recipe Book - F.R. Bell" in marbled board binding with tooled and gilded leather spine, re-bound, stamped to interior "F R Bell Chymist Middlesborough" upon inspection interior appears to pre-date binding. 4. Tooled and gilded calf-bound example bearing previous purchase price "£250.00" black ink/sepia interior including recipes such as "Two pickled cucumbers = My Mothers - To collar a calves head- Mary Barnes - To hash a calves head - To brown butter - a recipe to cure an asthma, tincture of myrrh - To cure an ague etc etc. 5. Marbled board covered with leather spine (very damaged) ownership inscription to frontice "M Dighton" including recipes "To make blamange - Dutch Cream - Regency Cake - Roll'd up Gingerbread - Bread Sauce from the Queen (dated 1877) etc etc 6.Marbled board bound with brown suede spine bearing ownership name to interior "Ridley" with indistinct no. or date including recipes "To Gild Sheets of Paper", "Burnished Gilding on Glass", "Orange Brandy" etc with several blank sheets to the interior with further script, poetry, prose, quotes, various drawings, cartoons etc - see images for examples

A Liberty & Co Tudric Pewter mantle clock with copper and blue enamelled dial and Roman numerals, the base stamped "Made in England Tudric Pewter 013 19", 32.3 cm wide x 16 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Basically sound though with some areas of damage to the casing suggesting a fall at some point. Left hand side of dome large dent. Left hand rear corner with dent. Right hand rear corner with some silver peeling to corner with loss. Face and movement appear to be intact. All of the silver work with oxidisation, could do with a good clean and, where dented, sympathetic restoration. Movement cover with some pitting. When lightly wound the movement appears to work though this is not guaranteed

A Victorian silver cased and tortoiseshell mounted mantle clock of lancet form raised on stepped bracket feet, the movement with white enamelled dial and Roman numerals by Wright & Davies, London, 1896, 8.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS We are not clock specialists and do not sell anything in working order. Unable to get to the mechanism easily so cannot comment on it. Various light scratches to the case, some light dents to the case. Appears to be some fine cracks in the dial including one ranging from the nos 4 - 6 along the edge. Various general small signs of wear and tear through age and use throughout. Some pitted like black marks. Suggest viewing in person

Remainder of pierced gallery dented. Base with visible screw thread i.e. appears to have something missing. Appears to be on a spring pulling out and retracting when let go. Main body basically sound. Rattle with large crack below the whistle at thinnest point. Hole at other end between two bells, one bell to centre section missing i.e. three our of four. Teether missing and dented to lip where it once was. Hallmark extant but worn. With surface scratching, wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout - see images for further information

A 19th Century Continental silver Toby jug as Toby Philpott, seated with jug of beer upon his knee, bearing ".930 " mark and makers mark "SR" beneath a crown to the base, import marks "4JGP" within a rectangular punch, (London 1902), approx 15 cm high, 11.22 oz CONDITION REPORTS The lip on his hat does not seem even from left to right. The left hand side higher than the right hand side. There is a small split to the hat on the interior rim - see images. Some knocks and nibbles to the rim also. There is a dent to the left hand side of the hat and the interior side looks like it may have been repaired There is a knock to his left hand and a mark all the way down the jug which the figure is holding and some chips to the rim on this jug. The handle is slightly bent, the base is bent with various knocks. There appars to be some sort of repair to his right foot. The body with various scratches and scuffs and marks and nibbles throughout. All over various general signs of wear and tear

A George II silver baluster shaped mug with scroll work handle, raised on a circular foot (by Thomas Whipham and William Williams, 1741), approx 12.5 cm high, 11.75 oz CONDITION REPORTS Some small dents around the rim which is not circular. The body with various shallow small dents throughout. The surface does not feel smooth and is undulating due to denting. The foot is no longer circular and there are some marks to the base. Light scratches throughout and general signs of wear and tear.

A three piece Chinese silver tea set, the teapot of squat round form decorated with birds on prunus blossom set branches, raised on a circular foot, 12 cm high, together with matching milk jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, stamped "LUENWO Shanghai" to base with Chinese characters, approx 27.3 oz total weight, CONDITION REPORTS The teapot has a dent to the lid and a dent to the top of the finial. All over light scratches and small dents. The ivory on the handle is cracked. Handle is not perpendicular to the teapot and is bending round slightly. Foot is not circular.Sugar bowl has dents to the base and scratches to the body. Some small dents to the body.Cream jug has dents to the spout and scratches to the body. Small shallow dents.All items with various general signs of wear and tear throughout conducive with age and use.

A Chinese silver three piece tea set, the tapered cylindrical teapot set with prunus blossom and bird applied decoration, the handle is in the form of a piece of bamboo with matching milk jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, 15.5 cm high, total approx 35.5 oz CONDITION REPORTS Teapot - hinge very stiff andf slightly buckled out of shape. Light scratches and discolouration throughout. The base appears to have pushed inwards. There is a dark mark to the base suggesting possibly a split with corresponding mark to the interior. The sugar basin and the cream jug handles differ in soldering to the body suggesting possibly the handle has been resoldered on the cream jug. Both items have various light scratches, the cream jug lip has been dented. All items slight knocks, scratches and general small signs of wear and tear throughout. The ivory bands on the handle of the teapot are cracked with split

Tea set in good condition though in need of a good clean. Ivory beads to the two larger pieces, all with various discolouration and cracks - see images for further detail. The box shows significant signs of wear and tear, scratches, scuffs, marks, cho]ips, signs of warping etc throughout. All over considerable wear and tear, the paper label to the inside is somewhat tatty, has some grey marks.v The hot water pot has light scratches throughout to the body, the ivory rings are both cracked with splits. Slight shallow dents. Teapot has slight scratches throughout to the body. The teapot has light scratches throughout to the body. Lid is slightly wobbly. Some dents including one to the top section, some small dents underneath. Cracks and splits to the ivory finials. A large dent to the handle. Teapot is very wobbly when on a flat surface. The sugar bowl has some damage to one handle which is bent slightly out of alignment and shape. Some various knocks and dents to it also. All over various light scratches. Some small dents to the bottom of the basin and some wear to the gilt interior. Wobbles slightly when upon a flat surface. The cream jug has light scratches throughout. Some shallow dents to the body, both back feet have the appearance of being pushed up into the body. General small signs of wear and tear and some wear to the gilt interior. There is also a dent to the front of the cream jug. All silver items have general signs of wear and tear including surface scratches, small minor dents etc. There is one compartment in the box which is empty - this was possibly for a tea caddy but is no longer present. There is no key for the box - see extra images on line
