A Victorian Silver Circular Four-Piece Tea Service, by JR and retailed by Edward and Sons, Glasgow and London, Glasgow, 1875, of Eastern design embossed with panels of fish, figures, animals and objects within geometric borders and with rectangular cartouche engraved with crest, comprising - teapot, 7.25ins high, hot water pot, 9.75ins high, each with temple pattern finials, milk jug and sugar bowl, gross weight 63ozsCondition Report:Teapot - hinge to lid works well and lid fits comfortably. Handle tight. Seam to tip of spout, under spout has very slightly opened along approx. 1.3cm along its length.Hot water jug - hinge works well and cover well seated. Handle is tight. Horizontal dent to the base measuring approx. 3.5cm terminates at its right end with a small vertical crack to the metal measuring approx. 5mm. Milk jug - with small dent to foot. Sugar bowl - the rim very slightly out of true. In general terms this service appears to be in reasonably good condition. There is some typical scattered wear to all pieces.

The cover with one miniscule 'ding'. Two small shallow dents to front, and miniscule dent/nick to lower part of right side. Right side also with small scratch. Feet aligned. The interior with original wood lining. Wooden divider(s) missing. Generally this cigarette box appears to be in good condition with just some typical light scattered scratching/minor wear.
