A George III silver mustard pot London 1810/12, maker`s mark rubbed, possibly Thomas Hayter, of cylindrical form with punched banded decoration and laurel cartouche, hinged lid with shell thumbpiece and reeded C-scroll handle, with later blue glass liner, 3in. A William IV silver cream jug Richard Pierce & George Burrows, London 1830, of squat baluster form with a gadrooned rim, foliate capped reeded handle and cast base with four anthemion bracket feet, engraved presentation inscription from the Preston Agricultural Society for the Best Blood Mare, October 1829, 3¼in. A Victorian Columbian emerald and natural seed pearl choker the double strand choker with thirty-five Columbian emeralds (not tested) and natural seed pearl trefoil shaped motifs, on a string with probably an 18ct gold clasp and safety chain, in original fitted case, bearing mark to inner lid, `Manufacturing Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company 112 Regent St. London` with Prize a crown and Prize Medals above. *The Goldsmiths` and Silversmiths` Company was founded in 1880 by William Gibson and John Langham from 112 Regent Street and became a limited company in 1898 (the mark to the inner lid of the box pre-dates this). It sold a wide range of silver and jewellery and exhibited internationally. It amalgamated with Garrard, the Crown Jewellers, in 1952. The above information is from J.D.
