A George III silver pair cased verge watch, the gilt movement signed Jas. Gale, Cannon Street, London, no. 151, the 36mm. white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic outer minute track, both cases plain, the outer 47mm. diameter, London 1782, with key; in a modern Frank Daysh Glassblowing dome. * The watch is fully wound and does run briefly but then stops - we suspect the movement is dirty and needs cleaning. Dial has a hairline and bruise to outer edge between 7 and 8 o'clock and small scratches to enamel throughout. Hour hand missing tip. A few small dings to outer case, case otherwise good.

(17.8cm.) handle to handle, 3½in. (8.9cm.) high, weight 6.6 tr.oz. * Good condition, good hallmarks and decoration.

(14.7cm.) long, weight 5.5 tr.oz. * All three maker's marks rubbed, very small shallow dent to main body, bayonet cap works well.

A Chinese carved ivory figure of Shou Lao, Qing Dynasty, probably 18th / early 19th century, standing with a tall, gnarled wooden staff, in the other hand a lotus blossom and leaf, on a silver inlaid hardwood base (not the original), 8in. (20.3cm.) high. * Condition: A very small piece broken from the top of the staff. No other faults. ** This lot is from a fine single owner collection of Chinese and Japanese ivories, which are included in this sale from lot 1495-1586. Please note that the collection will not be on view in our Guernsey saleroom - all of the lots will remain in Jersey throughout the period of viewing and the sale itself, due to the considerable costs involved in obtaining CITES licences for them to be moved between the islands. The collection was assembled by an enthusiastic and discerning collector who purchased from antiques dealers and auctions throughout the United Kingdom from 1938 to 1955. The collection has since passed down through family descent to the current owners, who are resident in Jersey in the Channel Islands. All of the lots in the collection are antique and over 100 years of age. All of these lots will be subject to international CITES regulations upon sale and will require licences to be issued by the States of Jersey for export from Jersey to other jurisdictions, the cost of which will be borne by the vendor. Please note that import licences for their ultimate destination willl be required prior to shipping - these will be the responsibility of the purchaser, as will any costs incurred, which vary internationally. Ivory cannot be exported to the USA. It will be the buyer's responsibility to check that their country of residence will permit import with the correct documentation before bidding. (4.8cm.) high, weight 6.0 tr.oz., contained in dark blue velvet lined presention box. * Excellent condition, nothing to note, box very good.
Chanel - a dark green alligator Jumbo flap bag, c. 2010, with single outside pocket, silver hardware and green lambskin lined interior with zipped and open side pockets, 30cm. wide, 22cm. high, 33cm. shoulder drop, very good condition, signs of light use, includes authenticity card, dust bag, original purchase invoice from the Chanel Boutique, New Bond Street and copy of the Jersey re-export CITES licence. * Alligator mississippiensis, Annexe CITES II-B. This lot is subject to international CITES regulations. ** Very good condition overall - the exterior retains a very good glossy lustre with just two small scuffs to this glossy surface to the upper right of the front flap. A few light contact marks to the underside. The interior has some light scratches to the lining. The original box is not present. The dust bag has a patch of pale staining to the lower front, and a few other smaller pale stain spots elsewhere.

(7cm.) long without loop; together with a silver double sovereign holder by Aaron Lufkin Dennison, Birmingham 1912, weight 2.92 tr.oz., both with faults. (2) * Multiple dents and problems with hinges etc, fair with faults.
A Swiss 18ct gold open face fob watch, early 20th century, with fob wind gilt lever movement, gilt dial with black Roman numerals and chased floral centre, the 34mm. case chased with flowers and foliage and signed by the maker, Dimier Freres & Co.; together with a .935 silver and enamel half hunter fob watch, the 36.5mm. case signed by Stauffer, Son & Co. (2) * Both watches wind and run. The gold watch is good overall, with no damage, apart from a couple of tiny dings to the dust cover. The silver watch has a few dings to both the dust cover and back of case. Scratching to enamel but no chips. Dial good.
