A composite Third Reich SA dagger, the blade by Robert Herder, Solingen, with spurious Rohm inscription and gilt motto with oak leaf spray at each end, the hilt with nickel silver mounts and plain grip, the crosspiece stamped "No" (SA group Nordsee), in an original sheath (paint scraped off, chape missing). QGC; also an SA blade by Carl Schmidt, Solingen, (shortened and polished), and an SA sheath covered with brown leather and lacking its chape. (2) £50-60
A good DB 14 bore percussion sporting gun by Ross of Edinburgh, 45½" overall, nicely re-browned twist barrels 29¾", the broad top rib engraved in gothic script "Rofs. Edinburgh", the underside of the breeches Birmingham proved and numbered "360", the breech tang engraved with pheasants and scrolls and inset with a small silver escutcheon; back action locks engraved with wavy borders, game dog in woodland setting, and pheasants, and signed "Rofs" in gothic script; nicely figured walnut halfstock with chequered wrist and engraved steel mounts, the bronze tipped wooden ramrod having concealed worm extractor. GWO & good clean condition, the bores excellent. The vendor has owned this gun for many years, has shot it regularly, and states that it is an excellent shooter. £500-550

Near VGC (patch of wear to plating on the top sheath mount, some marks to sheath paint). £1600-1700

A 17th century ivory handled swordstick, slender tapered blade 32½" of hollow triangular section, the ivory handle having swollen domed top, decorated overall with hollow silver pique studs in the form of entwined 'Cs' (commemorating Charles II), crosslets and rosettes, with narrow silver band at the base, and with spring locking catch, the later haft of malacca with GS band around the top and sheet iron ferrule. Basically GC (the blade nicked and rusty, iron ferrule rusty and split, blade fails to fully enter the haft) Plate £300-400

A Birmingham made 5 shot 120 bore closed wedge frame self cocking percussion revolver, 8" overall, octagonal barrel 3", B'ham proved, the frame, cylinder and top strap engraved with scroll work panels, the metal work close silver plated overall, the grips chequered, shell carved and inset with silver pique studs. Basically GC (action requires attention, external safety spring missing, some wear to plating), in a fitted mahogany case with trade label of "Robert Jones, Patent Breech Loading Gun Maker, Liverpool", containing a brass pincer ball mould, (AF), cleaning rod, pewter oil bottle, a tin for caps, and a brass flask. £250-400
