A HIGHLY-ORNATE, GOLD-ENCRUSTED AND SILVER-INLAID BROWNING 12-BORE CUSTOM SINGLE-TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER EJECTOR, serial no. 21293S0, 27 1/2in. nitro barrels with 12mm ventilated matt top-rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl in both, hold-open toplever, manual safety with integral barrel selector switch, action profusely engraved and two-tone gold-encrusted with various themes, including imagery of a naked man riding the back of a giant mythical bird, and of an amorous couple being spied upon by impish youths, the toplever and fence with a squirrel and small birds, the underside with a Chinese mythical dragon guarding human skulls, the triggerguard with lotus blossom and a dragon eating a swan, 14 1/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock, stock and fore-end chequering heightened with silver pins, pistolgrip-cap engraved and gold inlaid with cherry blossom and a long tailed mountain thrush, the stock finely inlaid with silver characterisations of sylphs at play with cherubim and a griffin riding the currents, the fore-end iron gold-inlaid with a grotesque, the fore-end wood silver inlaid with a Chinese dragon mask and with creeping snails, 1in. leather-covered recoil pad, weight 7lb. 8oz.
