A pair of early 19th century ivory cased and gilt metal lorgnettes, a 19th century carved bog oak thistle pattern pipe, an early 19th century gents silver cased wristwatch with gouache dial and small selection of other items. CONDITION REPORT: Lorgnettes are sadly broken to the ivory. Pipe appears to be in good order. Gents watch lacking a seconds hand, other items comprise 2 fruit knives, a stopwatch (not working), lighter and an enamelled butterfly pattern paper clip.
A modern canted rectangular gilt frame mirror with moulded frame, 67 cm x 41 cm, together with a pine framed mirror and a bevelled mirror with silver coloured foliate ends. CONDITION REPORT: The gilt frame mirror does have some marks to the frame, probably just needs a good clean, the other mirrors again, the pine mirror with marks to frame, the silvered mirror generally good.
A Victorian silver plated Corinthian column pattern table oil lamp with cranberry glass faceted reservoir and cylindrical section column, 69 cm high (converted to electricity) with white glass shade and chimney for same. CONDITION REPORT: This lamp has wear to the silver plating. The conversion appears to be fairly sympathetic and could be reconverted. There is no damage, wire holding flex.
A cased set of six silver teaspoons, each with moulded trefoil surmounts, hallmarks for Birmingham, 60 grams gross weight, all housed in a faux snakeskin plush lined case. CONDITION REPORT: Some tarnishing but generally good, the case with minor wear and staining to the interior lining.
Quantity of coinage, costume jewellery, wristwatches to include some silver white metal and yellow metal, also a brass inlaid and carved Indian hardwood box, a Japanese oblong lacquered box and a papier mache gilt decorated box. CONDITION REPORT: Generally used condition, box is showing some wear, jewellery is mix matches but generally appears good.
An oblong embossed silver fan box the top and body embossed with C scrolls and foliage with a central shield shaped cartouche engraved with the initial G. Marks to the inner lip with the Lion passant and the date letter B, 23 cm x 4 cm & weight 150 grams. CONDITION REPORT: Denting throughout, some bending and folding to the base rim, ware to the central cartouche.
An early 20th century embossed silver backed brush set, 5 pieces, comprising a hand mirror, 2 hair brushes and 2 clothe brushes, each with foliate garland decoration and engraved with the initials L E M H, marks for Birmingham 1912. CONDITION REPORT: Extensive denting throughout, the bristles of the brushes are splayed and with some depletions, no visible tears to the silver. There is a small split to the rim of the hand mirror.
A cased set of six silver teaspoons and sugar tongs, hallmarks for Birmingham maker Elkington & Co, gross weight 78 grams, the tooled leather case bearing the retailers mark for Collingwood & Sons Middlesborough, Stockton and Sunderland. CONDITION REPORT: Generally good condition throughout, some minor scuffing to the case on the front edge but generally sound.
An M.F. & Co Colonia planished sterling silver circular tray, engraved to centre with a branch modelled into the initial F, 19 cm diameter with part No. 100-20 to reverse, 195 grams. together with an Elizabeth II silver backed hand mirror and clothes brush. CONDITION REPORT: All items are in a fair condition. The clothes and hand brush have minor pinhead dents.
A small oval pin dish with shaped pie crust moulded rim and oval interior, marks of Sheffield, maker J D & S. 34.5 grams, 11.5 cm, together with a silver mounted ring stand and a silver topped dressing table jar with marks for Birmingham, maker S S, 20 grams. CONDITION REPORT: The oval dish with small dent to centre, the ring stand extensively damaged and bent and the dressing table box with small knock to the silver top and some degree of ware to the marks, otherwise good condition.
A selection of various silver plated wares, including three oval trays, a chamber stick and a selection of flat ware, nut crackers etc CONDITION REPORT: Used condition with tarnishing throughout, marks and scratches to the chamber stick with extensive ware showing the copper underneath and also the smallest oval tray again showing the copper.
