George III silver pocket watch with fusee movement, signed - 'Robt. Roskell, Liverpool', the movement and case both numbered - 26753, white enamel dial in silver case with ropetwist edging (Newcastle 1810) CONDITION REPORT Hallmarks for Newcastle 1810. Maker's initials - N. L., are stamped on the inside of the case next to the hallmarks. Damage to dial, hairline cracks and has shattered. It has lost a screw so it needs to be secured as it currently rotates and is lifting. Not working, balance wheel does not spin, although the fusee chain is complete / intact and not broken. The case is in reasonable condition with wear commensurate with age. There is slight gap when the front of the case is closed
William IV gentlemen's silver mid-size full hunter pocket watch, by 'Barrauds, Cornhill, London', numbered - 2 / 1447, with white enamel dial and subsidiary seconds, in silver case (London 1833) CONDITION REPORT 55mm diameter of outer case. The watch does run / tick if given a gentle shake, although we cannot guarantee that it works or keeps accurate time. The dial is damaged. Notably a chip at the ten o'clock position which has been crudely filled, associating hairline cracks emanating from the chip. One minute chip at the edge of the dial at the four o'clock position. The case does close neatly without any gaps, although the back does not snap closed and therefore swings open if held. Hallmarks to the inside of the case and inside of the back of the case but no hallmarks to the inside of the front of the case, although it is presumed / looks to be silver and original. Front of the case is in good condition, does snap / close tightly. The back of the case shows more signs of wear, a dent and possible repair of a dent near the hinge
