The original cuff title was likely removed when owner was deployed out of SD Sipo domestic organization, a proper and correct replacement is now pinned in place. Heinrich Himmler – silberne Geschenkschale an J. v. Ribbentrop Weihnachtsgeschenk 1940 Joachim von Ribbentrops an Heinrich Himmler. Silber „925“, Durchmesser 45 cm, Gewicht 1360 gr. Fein gravierte SS-Runen am oberen Rand der Vorderseite (3 cm hoch), rückseitig am oberen Rand Gravur in Blockbuchstaben „MEINEM FREUNDE HEINRICH HIMMLER “(1 cm hoch), am unteren Rand Gravur der Unterschrift „Joachim V. Ribbentrop“ (1.5 cm hoch). Darunter in Blockbuchstaben „WEIHNACHTEN 1940“ (0,5 cm hoch). Die Mitte der Rückseite Halbmond und Krone „925“gestempelt und „H.J. Wilm Berlin/Handarbeit“. Weiterhin die Zahlen „1851/1479“ leicht eingeritzt ober- und unterhalb der Herstellermarkierung. Ein extrem seltenes und historisch bedeutendes Stück. Herkunftsbezeugung mit beigefügtem notariell beglaubigtem Schriftstück von 1975 eines US Special Agents, der bezeugt, dass dieses Stück zusammen mit anderen aus Himmlers Jagdhütte nahe dem Tegernsee, Bayern, stammt. Around the bottom reverse rim a facsimile signature of “Joachim V. Ribbentrop” (1.5 cm. high). Below it in block letters “Weihnachten 1940” (0.5 cm high). The center reverse is stamped with the hallmark “925/H.J. Wilm Berlin/Handarbeit”. In addition, the numbers “1851/1479” are lightly scratched above and below the hallmark. Originally sold in 1974 with dated 30.4.1974 personal calling card signed by Karl Wolff confirming tunic belongs to him.Karl Friedrich Otto Wolff (13 May 1900 – 17 July 1984) was a German SS functionary who served as Chief of Personal Staff Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler and an SS liaison to Adolf Hitler during World War II. He ended the war as the Supreme SS and Police Leader in occupied Italy and helped arrange for the early surrender of Axis forces in that theatre, effectively ending the war there several days sooner than in the rest of Europe. He escaped prosecution at the Nuremberg Trials, apparently as a result of his participation in Operation Sunrise. In 1962, Wolff was prosecuted in West Germany for the deportation of Italian Jews, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for being an accessory to murder in 1964.
