CONDITION REPORT: At the time of cataloguing, the Tissot, Bernex, and Services watches appear to be in going order, however this is no guarantee of working order. The Seiko and Pulsar examples are not currently working, but may just need new batteries.

The mark to the bangle is PPLE 4 9CIGOLD, Metal core. There are also other items of costume jewellery and some cultured pearls in this lot.

Lot 335B

A Victorian silver regatta cup by Martin Hall & Co. Sheffield 1865, 312 grams, height 19 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There are no engraved inscriptions on the cup. The hallmarks are slightly rubbed across the top edge but legible. The goblet is in generally good condition and we can see no evidence of any repairs or restoration. All oars are in good order and not loose or buckled. The base is also in good condition. A very minor criticism would be that the top is ever so slightly misshaped but this is insignificant.

Lot 238

A silver cased Verge pocket watch by Timothy Graham Cockermouth Number 2054, with silver Albert chain, the case hallmarked 1853.

Lot 78

A pair of bohemian cranberry and milk glass overlay flutes, each raised on a silver plated base. Height 34.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both flutes have edge chips and nibbles around the points of each top. These are quite numerous. Other than this the flutes themselves are in generally good order. Both metal bases have losses to the supporting teeth that hold the lustres in place. They have also both lost much of the original plating.

A collection of silver, to include a napkin ring, Birmingham 1902, a further two silver napkin rings and three small silver condiments (6).

A pair of silver salts, each with blue glass liner with foliate raised on three feet, hallmarks to both severely rubbed. Height 5 cm, diameter 9 cm.

A pair of silver candlesticks, with detachable sconces upon rounded columns on a stepped base with fluted decoration, hallmarks very rubbed. Height 16 cm.

Lot 335A

A Victorian silver claret jug by Robinson Edkins & Aston, with applied cast fruiting vine decoration, Birmingham 1839, weight 1142 grams, height 30 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The claret jug is in very good order with no significant issues. The top hinges as it should and the makers mark and sovereign head are visible. The handle is sound and secure. The main body of the piece is in generally good order with only very minor surface dings and blemishes. We can see no evidence of any repair. The piece is fairly heavy gauge and well made.

Lot 329

A silver bonbon dish, with foliate and cartouche decoration, Birmingham 1955. 85 grams, 15 cm wide, together with a silver ladle, a silver ink blotter and two silver ashtrays with inset coins. CONDITION REPORT: The bonbon dish is in good order with no damage, repairs, holes or restoration. The silverwork to the nail polisher is in good condition with only very minor blemishes. The fabric polishing area is beginning to perish a little. The handle to the ladle is loose and detaches. There has been a soldered repair where the handle joins the bowl. Both coin dishes are a little misshapen and have dents.

Lot 330

A silver sugar sifter, Birmingham 1931, with weighted foot. 17 cm high, together with a silver topped glass sugar shaker and a silver engine turned and inscribed with initials R.A. circular vessel (3). CONDITION REPORT: The glass castor is in good order with no issues. The silverwork is clean and not dented or damaged and hallmarks to both collar and top are clear. The all silver sifter is a little dirty and has minor dings, dents and small scratches. The base is also misshapen through a drop. The lid fits securely. All hallmarks are legible. The cylindrical vessel is in good order with no significant issues. It is hallmarked Birmingham 1931 with a Patent Number 325841, a makers mark is rubbed and not fully legible.

Lot 266

A Victorian Scottish gold coloured metal and agate set crown and shield brooch with lozenge registration mark. 45 mm x 33 mm together with a silver coloured metal and stone set bracelet and a sword and semi precious stone brooch.

Lot 546

Edward Hasell McCosh British Contemporary, a pair of still lifes with decanters, fruit, insects and a silver salver in the Dutch style, each indistinctly signed lower left, oil on canvas. 40 x 35 cm, a pair (2). ARR (see illustration).

Lot 590

A medal group belonging to Private William Hodgson Green Coldstream Guards, consists of The 914-1915 Campaign Medal of The British Army, The British War Medal and The Victory Medal, all without their original ribbons. Later in his military career he served in The Military Police and was awarded The Police Medal For Exemplary Service, the group also has a 1905 Educational Medal for Two Years Perfect Attendance, two Festival Of Britain English silver crown pieces minted in 1951 and a German 1914-1918 bronze commemorative medal inscribed "For The Fatherland" and The Defence Medal 1939-1945.
