A Japanese Meiji period shibayama inlaid ivory tusk vase signed 'Chikumasa', having detachable oval silver cover with cloisonne enamelled floral decoration and surmounted by two birds, the sides inlaid with finely detailed scenes showing quail and other birds perched in flowering branches overlooking a pond with irises and two carp, the wooden base with silver signature panel resting in silver bamboo form base on four feet, 11.2" overall height.

1906 to 1910 Elections in Hastings and Ducross: four bronze figures by Elkington & Co depicting running newspaper boys holding a folio (originally to contain the calendar cards) and a poster being a framed silver plaque engraved with the results for the general elections of 1906 and the two of 1910 also the by-election of 1908, the octagonal bases with maker’s name, 151mm together with a framed poster of Harvey Ducross (5) * In each of these elections a member of the Ducross family was returned for Hastings for the Conservatives. In that of 1906 it was Harvey who was Chairman of the Dunlop Tyre Company. He was succeeded by his son Arthur who held the seat until 1918 and who became Life President of Dunlop.
