The maker's mark is worn but in general the other marks are clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some bruises overall. There is a crack inside the cover, underneath the finial. The wood handle somewhat loose. The engraving is later.

The wood handle and finial are later. The hinge fits firmly into the mounts. The hinge is bruised and a small section of the lid is lacking. Sits flat on a level surface.
