A George III Silver Coffee-Pot, Maker's Mark Rubbed, London, 1778, pear-shaped and on spreading beaded foot, the hinged cover with pineapple finial, later engraved with foliage, and a crest, 29cm high, gross 27oz 9dwt, 854gr Fully marked near rim and further part marked with lion passant on cover bezel. The maker's mark is worn but in general the other marks are clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some bruises overall. There is a crack inside the cover, underneath the finial. The wood handle somewhat loose. The engraving is later.

There is wear to the marks but each is just visible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wood bases appear to be original and each with some loss to the finish. With later baize covering on the bases.
