A fine cut-glass silver-mounted claret jug; the glass with hobnail-cut body and star-cut base, the silver mounts marked for The Goldsmith's Company, Regent St. and assayed London 1903 (19.5cm high)Condition Report: The hallmarked silver mounted top is in excellent order and the hinge is flat. The inside of the silver lid is very clearly hallmarked, the lower silver mount is also very clearly marked. It is noted that there a minor pinhead-sized dings to the mount to the right of the spout. The silver would benefit from a clean. The glass inside the mount appears good with no cracks or chips, the body and base appear good but there is some discolouration at the bottom of the jug (wine residue). The Auctioneer reports that this has been consigned from a private vendor and is in excellent original condition.
