WINDMILLS OF LONDON; a late 17th/early 18th century silver and tortoiseshell triple cased pocket watch, the outer tortoiseshell case with silver stud decoration enclosing a simple inner second case and the watch with bull's eye domed glass, white enamel dial set with Roman numerals, Arabic seconds numerals, steel beetle and poker hands and inscribed 'Windmills London', the movement signed and no.16763, with pierced and engraved masked cock centred with a diamond, silver regulator disc and engraved detail throughout, the later cases hallmarked for London 1789, dial diameter 3.6cm, outer case diameter 5.8cm.Additional InformationThe white enamel dial has an area of damage beneath the six numeral which obscures the outer seconds numerals and is a thin chip running approx 5mm x 13mm. There are also very light surface scratches and tiny nibbles to the edge of the enamel dial. The watch ticks when wound, some light surface scratches to the silver case and the second inner case. The tortoiseshell outer case has surface scratches, a 4mm x 6mm bruise to one edge. The front rim has split in several places and is missing three of the studs.

This is a slither of repair to the rim approx 11mm x 2mm slightly obscuring the 15 minute marker. There is also a fine crack just inside this area indicating this could have been a slither chip. There are two very fine small hairline cracks around the 7 marker. Other light surface scratches to the dial. The movement ticks when wound. Some light scratches to the inner case, the repoussé decorated case has three minute pinholes to the decoration on the raised points. The shagreen case has some tiny areas of damage commensurate with age. It is missing four of the applied gilt metal dots near where the spring is and the outer case contains remnants of watch papers and silk.
DELANDER; an 18th century pair cased fusee pocket watch, the outer yellow metal leather clad and gilt stud decorated case enclosing the watch with bull's eye glass, white enamel dial set with Roman numerals and Arabic minute markers and movement signed Delander London 1358, with pierced and engraved masked cock centred with a diamond, silver regulator disc and foliate scroll engrave decoration throughout, the case with matching number to the movement, diameter of dial 3.6cm, diameter of outer case 5cm.Additional InformationThe leather outer case has wear and tear as you would expect with some ripples, small splits, losses to the gilt stud decoration, There is rubbing to the gold plated inner case and a small area of enamel loss to the 30 minute marker where the release button is for the movement, There is also a very small hairline crack to the centre of the dial. Movement ticks when wound, general wear to the plating on the case throughout.
EDWARD PRIOR OF LONDON; a mid-19th century quadruple cased pocket watch made for the Ottoman market, the domed engraved outer case enclosing a tortoiseshell silver and stud decorated second case, plain third case with simple bands of detail and the watch with domed glass above white enamel dial set with Turkish numerals, inscribed 'Edward Prior London' and with beetle and poker hands, the movement signed Edw. Prior, London, no.66841, with pierced engraved balance cock, silver regulator disc and tulip columns, the watch and third case hallmarked for London 1851, the outer case with Turkish hallmark, diameter of dial 3.1cm, diameter of outer case 6.6cm.Additional InformationThe white enamel dial is in good order with just minor surface scratches, the movement ticks when wound, light wear only to the main watch. The next case closes tightly, has again light surface scratches but basically OK. The tortoiseshell case is missing three of the inset dots, also has a small area of damage and fine crack, light surface scratches otherwise. The Turkish outer case has an area of unsightly solder repair, mainly viewable underneath but right to the tip of the dome you can see where the case has split in the past. The hinge is also slightly loose on the outer case and there is an old watch paper to the watch.
