(14 x 9.6 x 5.1cm.); the case by James Deakin & Sons, Birmingham 1915, rectangular form, 7th Gurkha Rifles crest to front with engraved 'A.S.M. 3-11-17' to upper left (for Lt. Col. A. S. Mackay), reverse with a spray of reeds to lower left and Mackay family crest to upper right, 4¼ x 3½in. (10.8 x 8.9cm.); together with a small leather case with 'A.P.S. However your letter dated 30th December 1983 was placed before his son Shahu Chhatrapati, Maharaja of Kolhapur, Your Sincerely P.D. Toraskar, Private Secretary’.
