A mid 18th century oak cased thirty hour long case clock by Ashton of AshburnHaving a moulded cornice above two tapering columns flanking the twelve inch brass dial applied with a silver bezel and painted with Roman and Arabic numerals, embraced by gilt metal openwork spandrels, the dial centred with the maker's name and a date aperture, having a thirty hour movement striking on a saucer bell, the plain case with a shaped door above a well patinated lower panel and raised on bracket feet, with weight and pendulum, 198cm high. Provenance the Robinson collection complete with invoice from Stephanie Davidson Antiques dated February 2005.

CONDITION REPORT: Genera; tarnishing, only v minor. Rubbing and wear. Otherwise its in good condition. Stamped Bisansha silver, with lozenge shaped motif. Total weight 580g including lid handle and finial.
