A large and elaborate late 19th century silver-plated epergne; the larger circular bowl with gadrooned border and above three further, smaller bowls with Aesthetic-style arms terminating in horned ram's heads, with reeded column above a bulb cast with anthemions, raised on tri-form base headed with three mythical creatures with horses heads, wings and mermaid-style scaly tails etc. monogrammed and with presentation inscription 'To The Reverend H. D. C. S. Horlock (late Vicar of Box) by a few of his old Friends and Parishioners in grateful remembrance of his Faithful Ministry for upwards of 40 years' dated July 1876 (51cm high x 37.5cm widest)
A large and heavy 18th century dome-topped hallmarked silver tankard and cover; the hinged dome top with scrolling thumbpiece and shaped handle with heart-shaped terminal, the main slightly tapering circular body with a reeded band to the lower half, with engraved armorial, raised on slightly spreading circular foot, maker's mark F.S., assayed London 1740 (full height 18cm, weight approximately 692.5g)Condition Report: The underside has a small matchhead sized indentation to the edge of the underside at the bottom of the tankard (not the spreading foot rim). It is noted that there are some dents and indentation to the top of the handle. The handle is also marked with the maker's mark F.S. surmounted by a crown. Some very minor indentations and dings to the cylindrical body commensurate with age. The inside of the tankard looks good and bright with no evidence of any major problems. It is possible that there may have been a small amount of work where foot affixes to the lower cylindrical section. Generally, the tankard appears in good overall condition and comes from a private estate clearance.

A large and heavy baluster-shaped hallmarked silver coffee pot; the wrythen-style finial above a hinged domed top and baluster-shaped body, with finely carved and shaped wooden handle and the spout decorated in high relief to the base with an acanthus-style motif, raised on spreading circular foot, engraved armorial crest and assayed London probably 1764 (27cm high to tip of finial, total weight approximately 872g)Condition Report: It is noted that it is tall and heavy, the underside and foot look good, the outside of the foot looks good, on the lower part of the baluster-shaped body there is a half thumbnail-sized indentation to the underside of the handle about an inch to the lower right, various other very minor 'indentations'. spout looks good, the handle affixes to the body well, the carved wooden handle looks good and is lighter in places commensurate with age, the dome-topped lid looks in good order, the inside is a bit brown (obviously been used for the purpose it was made for), generally overall very good condition with no 'major' condition issues noted save those mentioned.
A cased pair of heavy hallmarked silver goblets; hand-planished, conical-shaped and numbered (154 and 155) with gilded interiors, by Order of the Epping Forest Centenary Trust and with approval of the Corporation of London, the goblets produced in a limited edition of 500 to mark the Centenary in 1978 of the Corporation's role as Conservators of the Forest, with creamy-white box and various paperwork etc. (16.5cm high, total weight approximately 792g)It is noted that the goblets have gilt interiors and are hand planished to the plain areas

A late 19th century oak pedestal desk; the cross-shaped gilt-tooled green-leather inset moulded top, a shelved superstructure with smaller drawers, above an arrangement of nine drawers, raised on bracket-style feet with castors (138cm x 76cm)There is an inscription plate that appears to be silver plated and annotated Thames Lodge 1895; there is a fair amount of scuffing, scratching and discolouration to some of the upper area and the central back needs re-affixing, there are ink stains mostly to the front of the top of the desk and the gilt-tooled green leather is not in the best of conditions with water marks, cup marks, tears, rips and possibly burn marks prevalent to the left and right sides mostly; the handles look original, there is scuffing and colour away from the bottoms of the bracket feet as expected commensurate with age; all of the locks appear intact and look as though they have never been away from the drawers; viewing from the right looks good, viewing from the left looks good, some scratches and minor scuffs to drawer fronts: the desk needs new leather and some repolishing
A pair of early 20th century spherical cut-glass silver-mounted scents; the hinged lids decorated in repoussé style with vacant cartouches and gilt interiors, the silver neck ferrules with maker's mark CM and assayed Birmingham 1909, small cut-glass stoppers, hobnail-cut bodies and star-cut bases (10cm high) Condition Report: 1st scent has minor scratching to underside and bottom, stopper appears good and body good too - silver is dark and hallmarks legible. The 2nd scent is noted that there is an indentation to the top of the silver lid on the outside on one half, the stopper in good condition, the glass is scratched to the underside. No major problems or condition issues overall.
A good selection of glassware etc. to include four late 19th/early 20th century silver-plated mounted cut-glass claret jugs (plate worn), various decanters and carafes etc. including a waisted Arts and Crafts-style example with gilded decoration of ducks on a pond and windmills etc. (good selection)Condition Report: 1st box - there four silver plated mounted claret jugs - on all of the claret jugs the silver plate has mostly worn away. The three tapering conical examples all appear to be in good condition. The small spherical example also looks in good condition. Other associated items - a globe and shaft carafe decanter appear OK, a late 20th century example encrusted with flowers which is OK, a moulded biscuit barrel looks reasonable, a globe and shaft decanter without stopper, several other decanters which appear in good overall condition. 2nd box - a large and heavy circular glass vase which has several chips around the rim but could be ground down, a heavy cut-glass jug in good order (probably early 20th century), three hock glasses with spiral twist stems and sundae dishes and four conical shaped sherry (?) glasses in good order and two vinegar-style bottles on good condition etc.

A hallmarked silver oval-shaped box with hinged lid having a vacant cartouche and decorated in high relief repoussé style with C-scrolls, flower heads etc., marks rubbed, probably Chester 1901 (16cm, approx. 109g)Condition Report: Overall the box appears in good order, it is noted that the hallmarks are very rubbed at one end, some small scratches to the underside commensurate with age. The hinge is in good order with no problems, there is a gilded interior and the lip of the lid inside is slightly raised to one end - although the lid does shut firmly and tightly.
An oval hallmarked silver box with hinged lid; the lid decorated repoussé style with a lady in a large wide-brimmed hat and within small C-scrolls and scrolling foliage etc., maker's mark W & H (Walker & Hall), assayed Chester 1906 (11cm wide)Condition Report: There is a slight curvature towards the middle of the actual base to the underside and a small pinhead sized dent to the top of the oval lid, to the right hand side of the bottom opp. the hallmarks. The lid closes tightly and is flush. The box, although tarnished, appears to be in good overall condition. The weight is approx 95.5g.
A matched pair of graduated hallmarked silver casters; of Neo-Classical form with floral swags, conforming blue-glass liners, each raised on spreading circular foot and with London assay marks (1902 and 1905) (the larger, 17.5cm high including finial)Condition Report: The larger caster is a bit tarnished with some green verdigris at the edge of the foot rim, the hallmarks are clean and the cobalt blue glass liner appears to be in good general overall condition. The smaller caster has similar tarnish at the edge of foot and underside although the rest of the silver looks in good general overall condition - blue glass liner is good too.
