A most unusual 19th century glass Casket, the panels consisting of double glass with extensive silver foliate decoration between, the top similarly decorated but with a central scene of a pheasant shooter and his dog, the ormolu mounts have figural corners, later base lining CONDITION REPORT: Dimensions including the feet 17.5cm wide x 12.5cm deep x 12.25cm high at the highest paint (at the very back because the hinged lid is sloping) Good general overall condition although there is some minor rubbing to the gilding noted, it is noted that on the top right hand side angular panel on the hinged cover there is a small white area to the top right and bottom left which looks possibly like the residue of cleaning fluid. No cracks, hairlines, chips or restoration noted. (see images).

The Brothers Byng, Edward (circa 1676-1753) and Robert (1666-1720), a silver framed and glazed (later) on en grisaille wash three-quarter length Portrait Study of Charles Dartiquenave (1664-1737), the Paymaster of The Royal Works, Surveyor General of the King's Gardens and in 1731, Surveyor of the King's Private Roads, the Brothers Byng were assistants of the famous portrait painter Sir Godfrey Kneller (whose unfinished pictures they completed after his death), later, they moved to the studio of Michael Dahl, a large number of drawings from the same series are in the collection of the British Museum (see their catalogue Vol.1 159-172), ex. collection Montague Bernard (circular paper label), 29cm x 21cm
Oleg Bogomolov (Russian, B. 1962), a silver framed Oil on Canvas Study "Little Europa", signed and titled verso, dated 2002, 49cm x 59cm CONDITION REPORT: Overall very good condition with a minor scuff to right hand corner, (see images)This imperfection is actually on the surface of the painting and it has been covered in paint (it may be a brush hair but we aren't sure). It is not damage or restoration. Close up attached.
A good early-19th century rosewood and brass bound Dressing Chest having Bramah lock, the hinged top section with recessed flush brass handle and opening to reveal velvet lined lid (enclosing mirror) and a further variety of glass and silver plated mounted dressing-case style requisites, tools etc., the base section with right-hand side flush drawer having recessed shaped brass handle mirroring the handle to the lid, 28cm wide
A late-19th century hallmarked silver Chatelaine, three sectional pieced articulated panels decorated with cherubic figures and displaying a number of hanging items to include a pail, a pin cushion, gilt scissors and others etc., hallmarks to Birmingham 1889/90, full height (from top of first panel to bottom of scissor case), as hanging 39.5cm
A large and heavy 18th century silver Hot Water Jug/Coffee Pot, the hinged dome-topped cover surmounted with a bell-shaped finial, with woven rush handle and the main baluster body with a lower wrythern and foliate design in repoussé style, raised on circular foot, makers mark ER, assayed London 1759, old British Antique Dealer's Association circular sticker to middle of body, with elaborately engraved armorial crest, 27cm high, approx. 675g CONDITION REPORT: This has come direct from the President of a major Oxford College who has now retired. General condition overall is very good with no problems noted although there is a slight darkish tarnish blemish near where the handle joins the top but this appears to rub away.
A heavy modern silver blade-shaped Pendant, six graduated horizontal varying semi-precious cabouchon stones terminating in one further smaller triangular example against a textured ground with raised rope-style border, approx. 22.2g CONDITION REPORT: There are silver marks on the pendant - stamped 925 just below the suspension loop.
A heavy hallmarked silver Cigar Case, profusely engraved with stylised scrolls, centrally monogrammed CRH, gilt interior, makers mark WN Ltd, assayed Birmingham 1915, approx. 197g, 15.5cm CONDITION REPORT: Generally good although a small 1.5cm light kink is noted to one end of the cigar case and when closed a slight gap is noted to one side where the two pieces of hinged silver meet. There is also a very small dent to the middle near the hinge, see images, no major problems noted.
Masonic interest, a heavy hallmarked silver Mason's Pendant, 1914-1918, awarded to Bro. E.W. Marchant No. 2812, together with one other yellow and white metal mounted, 5-jewel set with five small hand cut stones (possibly rubies?), awarded to Bro. R.H. Neath 1926, as a past Grand, Onatrio, the pierced yellow metal suspension surmounted with a beaver and marked '10K', with one other smaller circular gilt metal example (possibly unrelated to the Masons) (3)

A fine heavy hallmarked silver Monteith style Rose Bowl, the lip headed with cherubic masks in relief above 'C' scrolls and fruiting branches etc., raised on spreading circular foot, makers mark rubbed, assayed London 1898, approx. 1,018g, 24.5cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Very good overall original condition with no major problems noted, the silver appears quite tarnished in places but is otherwise in very good order.
