A 19th century enamel and diamond set memorial miniature pendant/brooch, the oval miniature painted with the portrait of a lady wearing a turban, pearl necklace and earrings, possibly on ivory, to an openwork foliate scroll frame with graduated old and rose-cut diamonds in foiled closed-back settings, heightened with blue enamel and old-cut diamond set bosses to the cardinal points, the reverse with glazed hairwork compartment to an opalescent enamel ground, brooch fitting possibly later, length 6.45cmCondition report: Dust/dirt residue and occasional light scuffs to miniature panel, scuffs and nicks to glazing, length of panel 3.8cm. Diamonds have a typically greyish appearance with variable colour and clarity, some stones with chips/fractures, but give an overall lively appearance. Some of the foil backing has patchy discolouration and occasional stones may be later replaced. Largest old-cut diamond weight approx. 0.04ct. Scuffs and nicks to blue enamel bosses. The opalescent enamel to the reverse is fractured and crazed and the hairwork compartment has dust/dirt residue. General wear, scratches, scuffs, nicks and chips to mount, commensurate for age and use, with patchy tarnishing and rubbing to engraved decoration on reverse. The mount is untested but appears to be a silver and gold combination. The brooch catch requires repair/adjustment. Gross weight approx. 30gm.

A late 19th/early 20th century diamond set panel, the shaped rectangular convex panel designed as an openwork lattice highlighted with old-cut diamonds, centred with a line of similarly set flowerhead clusters, framed by old and rose-cut diamond set foliate scrolls, possibly later adapted with brooch fitting, white metal mounted, (three diamonds deficient), total weight of old-cut diamonds approximately 2.90ct, length 6cmCondition report: There is a split to the panel, within then foliate scroll border, and a further fine split that may require repair. The panel is convex and may have originally been mounted as a choker, with evidence of the use of previous fittings to the outer corners. The brooch fitting may be later added and is currently functioning. The panel has surface wear, scuffs, nicks and chips throughout, with wear to the edges of the settings Three diamond are missing to one side of the panel. Diamonds graduate from approximately 0.15ct to 0.01ct in size. Metal standard is untested, but the setting may be silver, with a later plated finish. The panel appears to be unmarked. Diamonds have variable colour and clarity, some stones heavily included, with brownish/greyish tints, and with chips/fractures. Estimated I to M colour and SI1 to P3 clarity, assessed mounted. Width of panel 3.55cm. Gross weight approx. 17.7gm.
A silver bowl of plain design, the foot rim relief decorated with repeated stylised flowerheads, by Elkington & Co., Birmingham 1963, 20.5cm wide, 16oz, together with a silver and cut glass scent bottle, and a small silver trumpet vase. A 19th century diamond floral spray brooch, the tiered panel designed as a stylised flowerhead amongst a spray of foliage, pavé set throughout with graduated cushion-shaped old and rose-cut diamonds, interspersed with individual cushion-shaped old-cut diamonds in pinched collet settings, gold and silver mounted, numbered 1115, the reverse with vacant threaded aperture and later brooch fitting, largest diamond weight approximately 0.65ct, total diamond weight approximately 5.50ct, length 5.5cmCondition report: Diamonds have variable colour and clarity but give a lively appearance, many of the diamonds drawing yellowish tints, some of the stones with chips, surface-reaching fractures and small dark mineral inclusions. The largest diamonds are each drawing a yellowish tint and measure approximately 0.65ct, 0.50ct and 0.22ct respectively. The largest diamond measures approx. 5.7mm length x 5.7mm width x 3mm depth, the second largest diamond measures approx. 5.4mm length x 4.4mm width x 3.1mm depth. Diamonds have estimated J to M (tinted) colour and SI1 to P2 clarity, assessed mounted. There are two splits to the back of the brooch frame, where the stems has become detached, and a substantial solder repair with later reinforcing panel to the front of the brooch, at the base of the flowerhead. It is possible that the flowerhead was originally 'en tremblant', but is now fixed to the frame. There are further dark solder joins/repairs at junctions within the frame and a reinforcing solder repair to the back of one of the larger single settings. The mount has general surface wear, scuffs and nicks/chips throughout, with patchy tarnishing and some thinning to the edges of the settings. The brooch pin is a later replacement and currently functioning. The mount would have originally had a detachable fitting, hence the vacant threaded aperture. Metal standard is untested. Width of panel approx. 3.9cm, height (including fitting) approx. 2cm. Gross weight approx. 22gm.
