A 19th century Continental white metal punch ladle and strainer in a Renaissance style, the bowl with a hinged pierced lid and floral 'button', the spirally twisted handle terminating in a shaped top with winged figurehead. Marks rubbed. * This is possibly by Neresheimer who produced sumptuous "sideboard" pieces and in the tradition of the "free trade" city of Hanau specialised in copies of old silver, even replicating old marks and escaping censure because of the "free" status. Together with two other Continental spoons.(3)

A Victorian silver cruet stand with three incised crystal glass barrel-shaped cruets with hinged and pierced lids inscribed on the base "J.English from HRH The Prince and Princess of Wales Dec(ember) 1876. "Maker Edward Stockwell London 1876. * The future Edward VII had just returned from a highly successful tour of India.
Bernard Cuzner. A silver spoon with hammered heart-shaped bowl and stem, the foliate intertwined finial (a/f) terminating in an amethyst cabochon. Maker's mark: BC (Bernard Cuzner), Birmingham, 1905. 30 grams. * Bernard Cuzner (1877-1956) teacher and designer from the early 1900s, he became Head of the Department of Metalwork at the Birmingham School of Art in 1910. He was influenced in his early career by Cattermole-Smith and Gaskin. He was also a designer for W.H. Haseler and Liberty from very early in his career, author of the "Silversmith's Manual" first published in 1935 and again in 1949 with numerous reprints and an important contributor to Arts and Crafts flatware.

Length 4.1 cm together with A George III silver wine label, maker's mark GMH, George McHattie, Edinburgh c.1820, rounded rectangular form with gadrooned border, incised "Sherry". Length 4.8 cm. Length 4.5cm together with a Wiilliam IV silver wine label of rounded rectangular form with reeded border, incised "Sherry" by Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1836 and another of rectangular form with reeded border, incised "Rum", by George Unite, Birmingham 1838.
