Gordon Highlanders All Steel Scottish Pattern Percussion Pistol By Mortimer 50 bore, 7 inch, steel barrel with panels of floral scrolls.  Steel lock plate with thistle engraving and maker "T E Mortimer".  Percussion hammer broken.  All steel, ram's horn stock with engraved geometric panes, floral and shell designs.  The butt inlaid with silver sphinx and the forend with basket weave and thistle lines.  Ball trigger with silvered star design cap.  Steel ramrod and belt bar.  One section of butt ram horn absent and central ball pricker absent.   Thomas Mortimer was the son of H & T Mortimer.  Set up his shop in Edinburgh in 1835.

RHA Somerset Senior NCO's Shell Jacket dark blue, single breasted, short jacket.  High scarlet collar with silver cord edging which continues down the front and across the base.  Each breast with thirteen double rows of silver cord terminating with knots.  The centre fastened by white metal, KC Artillery ball buttons.  The right arm with silver braid on red Sergeant stripes surmounted by a bullion embroidery field gun.  Both shoulder straps with white metal, "T.RHA Somerset" titles.  Now contained in a specially made oak frame with glazed door.
