A late 17th or early 18th century ecclesiastical embroidered Communion Veil, the linen ground stitched with metalled thread and silk depicting a central phoenix surrounded by scrolling vines and wheat ears, below a sacred heart and above the Christogram IHS, with a metal lace border, possibly silver, 66 by 60cm, together with a circular embroidery of the figure of Christ in iconic Greek style, of couched metal threads and silk stitching to the face, 14cm diameter, both loosely backed on linen.
