An impressive silver Garrard & Co. commemorative wine cooler, Garrard & Co. Ltd., London 1973, commemorating 'Queen Elizabeth II Silver Wedding Anniversary', inscribed ER with crown above and 'Silver Wedding' to one side and '1947-1972' beneath crown and scroll to the other, in the George III style, of campana urn form with gadrooned border, cast relief grape vine decoration throughout, lion mask drop handles, pull out liner and lid, 10½in. (26.6cm.) high, gross weight 99.4 tr. oz.* Wine cooler and liner hallmarked, lid not marked but tests as sterling silver.** Condition: In very good condition overall. Slight dent to inner top of cooler, clear hallmarks.
A William IV silver chamberstick by Paul Storr, London 1837, also marked with retailer's mark, 'Storr & Mortimer', the urn form nozzle with detachable petalled drip pan on a five lobed circular base with reeded, foliate and crossed ribbon border, flying scroll handle and matched early Victorian snuffer, 6¾in. (17.2cm.) diameter, weight 13.1 tr.oz.* Condition: Marks clear to stick and drip pan. Snuffer a matched replacement - has a ding to silver towards top. Expected scratching to base from use. No other faults - good overall.
Welsh regimental interest - a large George III silver teapot, Robert Hennell I & Samuel Hennell, London 1807, of oval bombe form, with half-gadrooned decoration and borders, the hinged cover with oval counter finial, reeded scroll handle, on a flared oval foot, the body to both sides with engraved regimental crest with a dragon, possibly Princess of Wales Royal Regiment, 8in. (20.25cm.) high, weight 32.4 tr.oz.* Condition: Marks clear. Both sides have a section of silver let-in with an engraved regimental crest (appears to be 19th century work). Lid sits slightly proud at the front edge. Teapot is bent over slightly to one side on the base. Old soldered repairs to handle around pin just above ivory insulator at top and at base of handle.
An impressive silver plated covered lobster serving platter by Franco Lagini, Italy, c.1990, of large proportions, the deep oval tray with wide hammered edge, fitted with an impressive dome cover, surmounted with a life-size cast lobster, the lobster's antenna forming the handle, the side of tray marked 'Franco Lagini' in script, stamped May 1990, 25in. (63.5cm.) long.* Condition: In excellent condition, no surface wear or other faults found.
A George II silver baluster pepper caster, Samuel Wood, London 1743, with reeded borders, foliate and dot pierced domed cover and urn finial, 5¾in. (14.5cm.) high, weight 4.6 tr.oz.* Condition: Marks clear to base and cover. Good condition overall. Some wear to engraved decoration to cover and heavily worn engraved armorial / monogram to body. Small dent to top of one foliate pierced panel to cover.
A matched pair of George II silver cauldron salts, Edward Wood, London 1746 and 1750, with scalloped rims and shell mounted circular hoof feet, later blue glass liners, 1¾in. (4.5cm.) high, silver weight 5.85 tr.oz. (2)* Condition: Marks a little rubbed but remain legible. Both have a couple of minute dings to silver but overall good. No repairs.
A late Victorian silver three piece tea set, Hammond, Creake & Co (Saint Arnaud Creake), Sheffield, 1895, comprising of teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl, of half gadrooned decoration, ebony handle & finial, the teapot measuring 6¾in. 17.2cm.) high, gross weight 31 tr.oz. (3)* Condition: In good condition with no significant faults, slightly rubbed maker's marks.
