A Documentary silver lustre jug, inscribed and dated 1814, with lustre rim and two floral sprigs, height 12cm, together with a stoneware slip decorated vase, height 19cm and another green printed jug and cover. Condition report: Lustre jug - rim chip on lustre band, body has a general stained appearance and some crazing. Covered jug - no damage issues. Slipware vase - No damage, some pitting and discolouration.
A good Berlin porcelain lamp base, silver mounted by A. Rissler and Carre, Paris of urn form, with moulded drapes and insect painted decoration, 29cm excluding bulbholder. Condition report: Original lamp fittings replaced for electricity and now somewhat loose. Three foliate swags broken off.
A Charles II silver porringer, the bombe lower body with repousse and chased decoration showing a lion to one side and a dog to the other, inter spaced with large flowerheads and foliage. The scrolling twin handles cast with female figures. London 1666, makers mark WW over a fleur-de-lis within a shaped shield. Engraved on one side of the rim 1688 IR HR and on the opposite side H*R 1721. (These are for members of the Rogers family who have occupied Penrose since the late 17th century) 17.4oz excluding lid, height to rim 12.4cm. Later silver lid decorated to match. Height including lid 20cm, width including handles 20cm. (See illustration) Provenance: The Penrose Estate, Porthleven, Cornwall. Condition report: Remarkably good condition, no damage or repair to report.
