There is an engraved cresting above the spoon section. Hallmarks clear, some pinhead sized knocks and surface scratches. Blue glass liner is a replacement. The second salt has traces of gilt washed interior, no liner, general surface wear with a few dents and surface scratches throughout. Clear hallmarks and a vacant cartouche.

Some movement to the lid and old solder repair also to the lid, where the hinge meets. Rubbing to the engraved decoration. Clear hallmarks, general surface wear. The second piece has lost some of the gilding. Some give to the hinge, light general surface wear. There is an old repair to the foot rim - it has split along a seam and has been repaired.

The blue glass liner is replaced. Hallmark clear, vacant cartouche, pinhead sized knocks. There is an engraved cresting to one side, general surface wear. The second salt again has slight movement to the lid and has a replaced liner. Maker's mark rubbed and hallmarked partially rubbed. Engraved initials to the side with some give to the silver. General surface wear.

The lid does not close properly, there are a couple of dents to the body, general surface wear and scratches. The second salt again has replaced liner. There is an old repair to the lid where the hinge meet and the lid again does not close correctly. General surface wear. The maker's mark has not struck correctly, otherwise the hallmarks are clear.

General surface wear throughout, clear hallmarks. The second salt has replaced blue glass liner, very little give to the lid. General surface wear, slight obscure mark and with maker's mark stamp to the base.

A few pinhead sized knocks and surface scratches, but basically OK. The second salt has very slight rubbing to the hallmark, general surface scratches, a little bit of wear, but otherwise OK.

The pierced example has clear marks, general surface wear throughout. The plated example has replaced liner, surface wear and some tarnishing coming through.
