The box having a hinged cushion top lid engraved with a pair of swans; their necks entwined, 1½ ins (4 cms) high, 4 ins x 2¾ ins (10 cms x 7 cms). The tray incorporating small animals and birds harbouring amongst the foliage 11 ins x 7 ins (28 cms x 18 cms).

The bevelled mirror in a dark blue velvet clad frame with silver overlay pierced and embossed with a series of scrolling cartouches depicting figural scenes surrounded by swirling foliate stems, with a vacant cartouche to the top, 28 ins x 23½ ins (71 cms x 60 cms).
Two Russian Silver Snuff Boxes: One round with lazuri blue guilloche enamelled inset to the hinged lid surrounded by an embossed floral garland and swagged drapery, 1¾ ins (4.5 cms) in diameter. The other being oval and having a twin eagle-headed crest to the hinged lid with a niello chequer-work ground, 2 ins x 1½ ins (5 cms x 3.5 cms).
A Silver Cigarette Case hallmarked Chester 1915, engraved with inscription 'Pte. Caffrey V.C. from his old School St Mary's R.C. Nottingham with a copy of his story folded inside, in an old J.S. Fry & Sons Ltd Bristol London ¼ lb Chocolate Box. [Pte. John Caffrey VC 2nd York and Lancaster Regt. won the VC near Brique on 16th Nov 1915. He, along with Corp. Stirk (R.A.M.C.) set out under heavy fire to rescue a man lying near enemy trenches. After reaching him Stirk fell wounded, whereupon Caffrey bandaged him and brought him back to safety first and the returned for the other wounded man] (Source Gallaher Ltd, Victoria Cross Heroes, 3rd Series No, 72).
