DEAKIN & FRANCIS; a George V hallmarked silver mounted tortoiseshell backed circular hand mirror and hand brush, with pique work, Birmingham 1924, a similar small coat brush, Levi & Salaman, and a pair of coat brushes, WG Sothers Ltd, all three Birmingham 1927 (5). CONDITION REPORT: All in generally good condition, the frame of the mirror is misshapen and bent to the top, surface wear and dirt commensurate with age, tarnish to silver mounts, dints to the tip of the handle of the mirror and a smaller example to the hand brush.
Five various hat pins to include a sterling silver mounted porcelain swivel example painted with floral sprays, length 20.5cm and two guilloche enamel decorated examples, the larger hallmarked silver example by Sydney & Co, Birmingham 1908 (the smaller example af), and a ceramic globular example (5). CONDITION REPORT: All with tarnish throughout, the porcelain floral example with dint to the back, the small guilloche enamel example with losses, all with general wear commensurate with age and usage.
A small group of collectors' items comprising a modern sterling silver heart shaped box decorated with cherubic figures to the hinged lid, width 5cm, a white metal floral micromosaic decorated oval pill box, a hallmarked silver cycling medallion, Chester 1950, a group of further base metal examples, a seal, three propelling pencils and a miniature pen knife (15). CONDITION REPORT: Heart shaped box is generally in good condition, minor rubbing and tarnish. Micromosaic decorated box generally good with minor areas of losses to the decoration, minor rubbing, a small dint to the base, a few scuffs throughout and surface commensurate with use. Base metal examples with tarnish and some rubbing. Propelling pencils generally in good condition with some traces of rubbing and yellow metal example with dints. Seal intact, one side engraved with a flower.

CONDITION REPORT: Needs rewiring, areas of rubbing and dints, mainly to edges and corners of the base, odd dints to upper section, rubbing to the acanthus leaf decoration, fitment to be replaced, surface wear such as scratches and minor dirt.
Four hallmarked silver topped clear cut glass scent bottles to include a square sectioned example, Thomas Webb & Sons Ltd, London 1901, height 17cm including globular stopper initialled EMM, and a squat square sectioned example with foliate scroll embossed hinged lid, Walker & Hall, Birmingham 1901 (4). CONDITION REPORT: The square sectioned example with dints to the stopper (one major), also minor dints and scratches to the rim, minor surface wear and dirt (mainly to inside), the squat square example with heavy tarnish to the lid which is slightly misshapen, nibbles to edges, globular example with stopper jammed, tarnish to lid, numerous areas of nibbles to the body, the lid does not close properly, the conical example with associated stopper and minor damage to the inside of the collar, surface wear, the base has been filed to one edge, minor nibbles, heavy tarnish to the cap which is slightly misshapen.
A pair of early 19th century Italian silver candlesticks with ornamental acanthus leaf sconces above fluted columns and domed loaded bases, circa 1820-1840, height 26cm. CONDITION REPORT: One of the candlesticks is bent to one side and there is a split at the base of the stem where it has been pushed, general surface and tarnish, residues of cleaning product, areas of damage caused by over cleaning (holes).

DEAKIN & FRANCIS; a George V hallmarked silver shaped oval jewellery box with fluted corners and hinged engine turned decorated lid centred with a vacant circular cartouche, on four outswept legs with hoof feet, Birmingham 1910, length 13cm, approx 7.3ozt. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good condition, some surface wear and dirt commensurate with age, some minor scratches and dints, predominantly to the lid, mild rubbing to the engine turned decoration, the lid sits correctly, the hallmarks to the outside to the lid are heavily rubbed, the box is slightly wobbly.
CHARLES BOYTON II; a pair of Victorian hallmarked silver Fiddle pattern tablespoons, London 1841 and 1867, and a sauce ladle, London 1893, also an Old English pattern berry spoon, Stephen Adams I, London 1805, length 22.5cm, approx 8.3ozt (4). CONDITION REPORT: All in generally good condition, the pair of tablespoons with rubbing predominantly to one side of the bowl, general minor surface wear commensurate with age and usage, the finial of the berry spoon is misshapen and has got some imperfections to the back (traces of soldering?), rubbing to gilt.
Nine variously hallmarked silver collared clear glass scent bottles to include a tapering example, Robert Pringle & Sons, Birmingham 1905, height 19cm, and a square sectioned tapering example, John Grinsell & Sons, Birmingham 1902, height 12.5cm, also a cylindrical dressing table jar, Miller Bros, Birmingham 1913, height 9cm, and a hair tidy, William Neale Ltd, Birmingham 1922, height 8.5cm (11). CONDITION REPORT: All with general surface commensurate with age, some age with dirt (also to the inside), majority with tiny nibbles to some edges, tarnish to silver.
VINER'S LTD; a George VI hallmarked silver shaped circular salver with stepped rim, on four foliate scrolling supports, Birmingham 1945, diameter 36.5cm, approx 38.7ozt. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good condition with no obvious traces of damage or restoration, stand is stable, surface wear (scratches commensurate with age and usage).
Nine Royal Doulton maritime themed character jugs including D6467 'Captain Henry Morgan', D6335 'Long John Silver', D6500 'Captain Ahab', D6548 'Neptune', D6805 'Sir Frances Drake' limited edition 4004/6000, etc (9). CONDITION REPORT: The jug simply named Drake has numerous glazing/firing flaws to the rim and indeed throughout, Long John Silver with small nibble to front of the base, yachtsman has a loose piece to interior.
A group of hallmarked silver mounted dressing table items to include Reynold's Angels pattern hand brush, Charles Boyton & Son Ltd, Birmingham 1905, an Art Nouveau masks decorated coat brush, initialled H, Williams Ltd, Birmingham 1904, and two clear glass jars, also a napkin ring, a silver rimmed salt and a white metal overlaid teapot cover (8).
ADOLPH SCOTT LTD; a George V hallmarked silver rectangular cigarette case with engine turned decoration and initialled 'SAB', Birmingham 1933, 8.2 x 9.5cm, approx 4.1ozt. CONDITION REPORT: General wear and tear throughout, scratches, nicks and gouges, the initialling somewhat faint, some dents also.
LEVI & SALAMAN; a pair of Victorian hallmarked silver handled thread scissors, length 11cm, a further pair of sewing scissors, Birmingham 1894 and 1896, and a mid-19th century Dutch silver example, Amsterdam 1856, length 14cm, and three thimbles including two examples by Charles Horner (6). CONDITION REPORT: The Dutch silver handled scissors with heavy rubbing and repair to one handle, numerous dints and both loops slightly misshapen, two pairs by Levi & Salaman generally in good condition, the smaller pair appears to be slightly warped and with surface wear. Thimbles generally good, two with misshapen apertures.
FATTORINI & SONS OF BRADFORD; a Victorian silver cased open face key wind pocket watch, the circular dial set with Roman numerals and outer band of Arabic numerals, the signed movement no. 166292, case hallmarked for Chester 1900, a later crown wind example with dial stamped Kensington and case with import marks for London 1927 and a modern base metal fob watch on gilt metal chain (3). CONDITION REPORT: The first mentioned watch does not run, surface wear throughout to case and glass, surface scratches, nicks and gouges etc, build up of dirt and spotting to the dial, the second watch does run when wound but this is not a guarantee of working order, similar wear to case.
A group of variously hallmarked silver topped dressing table jars to include two globular shaped pairs, one by Adie & Lovekin Ltd, Birmingham 1899, height 5.5cm, also a rectangular engine turned decorated example, Birmingham 1920, and a pair of Canadian sterling silver topped peppers, Roden Bros, Toronto (13). CONDITION REPORT: All with general wear commensurate with age, the pair by Adie & Lovekin heavily rubbed through to the lid caused by over cleaning, other examples with similar issues, all with tarnish, the majority with dints and general surface wear with nibbles to edges.
WILLIAM EATON; a set of Victorian hallmarked silver double struck Queen's pattern spoons comprising four tablespoons, five dessert spoons, London 1844, and a caddy spoon, 1843, all initialled 'M', approx 22ozt (10). CONDITION REPORT: Caddy spoon bowl dented and misshapen, several other bowls dented, primarily the smaller spoons, general wear and tear throughout.
WILLIAM BATEMAN II; a George IV hallmarked silver rimmed horn beaker, London 1824, height 10.5cm, a silver plaque centred horn quaich, William Dunningham & Co of Aberdeen, circa 1900, length 14cm, a Scottish white metal mounted horn christening spoon, a set of three horn teaspoons, a bone example, and a bone marrow scoop (8). CONDITION REPORT: All pieces with surface wear, the beaker with misshapen areas to the rim and some dints, the quaich is misshapen but that is probably a manufacturing imperfection, surface wear and dirt including two areas of flaking to the horn inside, the white metal mounted horn spoon with tarnish and surface wear commensurate with age and usage.
GEORGE ADAMS (CHAWNER & CO); a set of six Victorian hallmarked silver King's Husk pattern tablespoons, initialled to the front of terminal and crested to the back, London 1844, length 22cm, a further similar set of five, William Eaton, London 1830 (x2), 1828 (x3) and 1838 (x2), and a Queen's Oyster pattern single example, Jonathan Hayne, London 1827, also a set of twelve dinner forks, Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, London 1855 and 1857, and a set of twelve electroplated steel bladed dinner knives, silver combined approx 80.3ozt (36).
Three hardstone hat pins comprising an apple green jade coloured stone hallmarked silver framed example by Charles Horner, Chester 1918, length 20.5cm, a spinach jade coloured example and a butterfly shaped example (3). CONDITION REPORT: All with tarnish, the Charles Horner example with area of repair to the split to the outside frame which is slightly misshapen, the spinach jade coloured example with hallmarks partially rubbed, otherwise all appear in good condition.
Seven various hat pins to include a tortoiseshell hallmarked silver framed example, London 1911, length 12cm, a hallmarked silver hat shaped example, CT Burrows & Sons, Birmingham 1908, length 10cm, a mother of pearl example set with white metal bee and a white metal globular pierced example, length 17.5cm (7). CONDITION REPORT: All with surface wear commensurate with age, the globular example with split to upper part and traces of cleaning products, the tortoiseshell example with heavy rubbing and surface dirt, the insect shaped example with losses to stones, the mother of pearl bee set example with rubbing to the rim, the ruby coloured set example with wear and loss to the stone setting.
An early Victorian rosewood and brass bound travelling chest or vanity box, the hinged lid set with central vacant brass plaque and with glass and silver plate mounted jars, a small selection of accoutrements and with drawer to the base with gilt tooled decoration, height 17.5cm, width 30.5cm, depth 23cm. CONDITION REPORT: Where the brass meets the body of the lid there are some rough areas which are possible old repairs, not all of the accoutrements to the interior are original and the jars are also associated, general surface scuffs throughout.
