Scandinavian Finnish marks to pendant 925ss. Anvil mark for Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta. Weight approx 7.61g. Measures approx pendant 4.5cm. Chain approx 60cm.
GASKIN - An early 20th century cased Arts and Crafts silver and opal necklace pendant. The pendant set with opal cabochons to a silver mount surmounted by stylised bale to top and presented in original fitted case. The case marked in gilt to the silk - Jewellers Mr & Mrs Arthur Gaskin Acocks Green. Pendant measures approx 3.9mm including bale. Weight approx 1.45g. The pendant is missing an opal cabochon. The case is scuffed and there is play in the hinge. There is wear to the gilt wording to the silk.Note:- The Gaskins - Arthur and Georgie - were leading jewellers of the Arts and Crafts movement. In 1899 the Gaskins started producing jewellery together, under the name of Mr and Mrs Arthur Gaskin. They began their married life in Acocks Green.
