A late Victorian ribbed glass and silver mounted jug and two matching goblets (London 1897) CONDITION REPORTS Wear, scuffs and scratches to glass and dirt. Some wear and denting to collars and collar to jug separated at join and with small area of loss to edge of silver. Silver collar to jug appears to have been removed at some point in order to repair some damage to the glass rim. Ribbed glass surfaces with generally quite heavy wear, roughness and fritting to surface. The ribbing to the glass is similar to that usually found on glass match strikers (ie rough to the touch).
