Silver kovsh and spoon decorated with niello, Russian Empire, late 19th C., master Nikolai Pavlov. Kovsh and spoon are decorated with high-quality floral patterns made by engraving and niello. Hallmarked with 84 Russian silver proof and manufacturer marks. Mark of the manufacturer "NP" at kovsh. Nikolai Pavlov, a jeweler who worked in Moscow in 1885-1917. A wonderful collector's item for connoisseurs of the history of the Russian Empire. Kovsh length 18 cm. Spoon length 10,5 cm.
Very rare Russian reliquarium blessing cross, silver with niello, Moscow, Russian Empire, 1830-50. A large silver, gilded cross, richly decorated with engraving and niello, depicting the Jesus and Christian Saints. The cross is designed to hold holy relics inside. Acquired in 1983 when 'Eric Clapton and His Band' played at Cornwall Coliseum, the original ticket from this show is also included with the guitar.
