A silver trophy cup inscribed 'Rangoon Paperchase Club, 1916'. Kokine Cup Won by Capt T.R. Dawe's Seventy nine', height 21cm, width 13cm, 246 grams, London hallmarks 1915.Brought back from India in 1916 by the vendors grandfather Thomas Reed Dawe. He retired as a Major in the 79th Carnatic Infantry.There are various dents around the body of the trophy. The handles are good and the pedestal is good. We are able to post this. A large Indian silver bowl, circa 1900. Repousse decorated with figures and animals in landscapes and buildings, on a carved wood stand, height of bowl, height 17cm, diameter 31cm, 1483 grams. Brought back from India in 1916 by the vendors grandfather Thomas Reed Dawe. He retired as a Major in the 79th Carnatic Infantry. There are some holes to the body of the bowl, possibly done in manufacture as these are not on raised areas. There is a rusty mark to the interior which could be an old repair. There are some minor chips to the dog figures on the stand. The decoration on the bowl is very good and with very light wear.
