Good quality George IV silver snuff box with repoussé decoration depicting Minerva, Venus and Cupid within scrolling arabesque foliage and gilded interior (Birmingham 1826), maker John Betteridge, 8.8cm x 6.2cm.The snuff box is in good overall condition, with no holes, large dents or signs of previous repairs. There is some overall loss of definition to the features of the figures and there are a couple of very minor dents. The hinge and clasp are both good.

There are some minor dents and distortion around the frame, but it is essentially sound. The easel support has been repaired using a nail and string, so whilst functional, it is pretty rough and ready.
