The following three lots belonged to David Taylor, a professional footballer who played for Rangers, Bradford City and Burnley. In the 1920's he managed St Johnstone, then Dunfermline Athletic. An enamelled statement necklace circa 1971 made by Margaret Shepherd as a degree show piece at The Royal College of Art London. The enamelled areas are in silver, the main body of the collar is silver plated nickel silver, riveted onto leather giving flexibility of wear. The design is inspired by the strata of onion rings Margaret Shepherd trained a Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen between 1964 - 68, and at the Royal College of Art in London 1968 - 1971, she returned to Gray's as a lecturer and eventually headed the jewellery department. Margaret is still a designer jeweller making bespoke jewellery on commission
