ALI MUHAMMAD: (1942- ) American Boxer, World Heavyweight Champion, & FRAZIER JOE (1944-2011) American Boxer, World Heavyweight Champion. Two signed 3.5 x 2.5 trading sports cards. Boldly signed (`Muhammad Ali´) in black ink across his image, showing several drawings of Ali in his classic boxing shots. The second is signed in bold silver ink (`Joe Frazier´), the image depicting Frazier in a boxing action pose. VG, 2 £100-120

LA FONTAINE JEAN DE: (1621-1695) French Fabulist & Poet, known for his Fables. An extremely rare D.S., De la Fontaine, one page, 8vo, n.p., 28th September 1656, in French. The boldly penned holograph document is a receipt in which the poet acknowledges the receipt of 'thirty three silver coins' worth of mixed woods to use during year one thousand six hundred and fifty-seven, with sixty-six pounds paid for my entry and exit rights' from Claude Lamblet, residing in Igny, and further stating 'I hold him good for the thirty-three silver coins and all the rest'. With integral leaf bearing a few ink calculations in an unidentified hand. Three neat ink annotations at the head of the page and a red circular stamp to a clear area of the lower half of the page. VG. £3000-4000
BORIS III: (1894-1943) Tsar of Bulgaria 1918-43. T.L.S, Boris, one page, 4to, Sophia, 26th June 1937, to Colonel Gruson, on his silver embossed monogrammed stationery, in German. The Tsar thanks his correspondent and the association of former officers of infantry he represents, and states `I cordially thank you for the respects you have sent to me on the occasion of my son´s birthday´, and further continues `I am very touched learning that the officers of the regiment I belonged to when I was Heir Prince still remember me´, concluding by sending his warm regards to his comrades. Accompanied by the original envelope. VG £150-200 Simeon Borisov Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (1937- ) Son of Boris III of Bulgaria. Tsar Simeon II of Bulgaria 1943-46 as a minor. In 1946 the monarchy was overthrown and Simeon was forced into exile. He returned in 1996 and as leader of the nation, acted as Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria 2001-05.
[ALEXEYEVICH NIKOLAI ORLOV] : (1827-1885) Russian Duke, Officer and Diplomat. His renowned memorandum was the basis for the decree abolishing corporal punishment. L.S., four pages, folio, 25th May 1861, to Alexeyevich Nikolai Duke Orlov, in Cyrillic. A very interesting document reporting to Duke Orlov about his father´s will. Stating that Duke Aleksei Fiodorovich Orlov, General of Cavalry signed two of his wills on 20th April 1861. In the first will giving full property in Voroniezh to Nikolai Alexandrovich Orlov, and in the second giving to his mother Duchess Olga Alexandrovna the capital of one million rubles in silver, land in Samara, etc... Also giving money and rewards to different individuals. The document also reports that the Emperor has approved the will, although not all the rules and forms were fulfilled when written. Certifying that from now on they are rightful inheritors. A long and clean document with excellent content. Together with [Hunting Pass] L.S., Levasov, one page, oblong 4to, n.p. [St Petersburg], 1803, to French Minister General Eugonville, in Cyrillic. An unusual document, being a bird hunting sauf-conduit issued to French General, authorizing hunting near Saint Petersburg and in all Government-owned territory, with the exception of landlords. The document bears a red wax seal to the front. Two small tears to the folded edges. EX & G. £200-300 Aleksei Fiodorovich Orlov (1786-1861) Father of Duke Nikolai Orlov. Russian Ambassador to Constantinople. He leaded the Russian delegation at the Paris Treaty 1856. Tsar Alexander II appointed him Prince.

Ellis circa 1930's including 9ct gold Plymouth & District League medal 1926-7, a Royal Life Saving Society medal, two WWII medals, an Elgin USA pocket watch also an Album titled 'World Cruise of the British Special Service Squadron 1923 -1924 containing various snap shot photographs.
