Oyster Cosmograph Daytona model 6263 'Big Red,' signed Valjoux 72 reference 727 manual wind movement, stainless steel case, dated 1979 from serial number between lugs and on papers, originally purchased 1983, round silver-coloured dial with applied stainless steel baton hour markers, with lume plots beyond these, subsidiary dials at 3, 6 and 9, for 30 minute register, 12 hour register and small seconds respectively, outer seconds track in black, black acrylic bezel with tachymeter scale, screw-down crown with coronet flanked by twin cylindrical screw-down push-buttons, on a stainless steel Oyster bracelet strap with 571 to the end links, with 78350 19 to the first links, with a Rolex signed foldover clasp numbered 78350, in box, with outer box, with papers and two booklets, serviced once circa 1990, centre seconds hand was replaced, original accompanies the watchCase: 37mm excluding bezel and crownProperty of a retired Scottish Merchant Navy Captain, owned from new. The watch was worn and used during the 1984 Trans-Atlantic Tall Ships Race and worn regularly for a period of approximately a year around that time.
