Great Western Railway nickel cased pocket watch with a Rotherhams London English lever movement No 215968, top wound and lever set. The dial is enamelled G.W.R and is free from cracks and chips and is one of the best we have seen for a while. The rear of the case is hand engraved G.W.R 2310. In good clean working condition and complete with a hallmarked silver Albert and Fob.

In excellent condition, weighs 135g and a must for not only the GWR Collectors but also the LMS ones as four years later Stanier was headhunted by Sir Josiah Stamp, chairman of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway to become the Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of that railway from 1 January 1932.
