Lot 588

An enamelled silver miniature carriage clock by Asprey, with import marks for London 1911, the rectangular case with pink guilloche enamel and with integral stepped feet, with white enamelled dial with Arabic numerals, the movement stamped "JCT" for the Geneva Watch Co. and numbered "56338". Height 6.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds and is ticking away. The pointers adjust as they should. The dial is not cracked and in generally good order with only very minor blemishes. The rear door snaps shut as it should. The enamel to the front is in very good order as is the left hand side. The right hand side of the case has a small loss to the bottom right hand corner of the enamelled panel. The top of the case has what appears to be some fading to the pink pigmentation to the right hand rear corner. The hallmarks are clear. The exposed silverwork has the odd minor mark but no significant issues.
