Sudan, Omdurman.- Abdullah Ibn-Mohammed Al-Khalifa, known as "The Khalifa", Sudanese Ansar ruler who was one of the principal followers of Muhammad Ahmad, "The Mahdi", c. 1846-99) Coin "From the Khalifa's Treasure House - Omdurman", Sudanese coin issued by the Khalifa inset into a Sterling silver pin tray with engraved legend, coin diameter 30mm., tray diameter 90mm., hallmarked 1899; and 6 other pieces, comprising: 2 Firmans, 2ff. from a 17 century Persian Koran and 2ff. from Dala' il al Khairat (both framed and glazed), v.s., v.d. China.- Shanghai Riots of 1905.- Greenwood (Charles F., owner of the International Bicycle Co., 194 Nanking Road, Shanghai, 1864-1910) Album of photographs relating to the Greenwood family of Shanghai and the Shanghai Riots of 1905, 121 photographs (114 silver print in album and 7 other photographs loose) on 16pp. (2pp. of photographs consists of upper covers), copy of pamphlet "The Shanghai Riot... 1905" loosely inserted, original boards, 4to, [c. 1900-05].⁂ Photographs includes two images of the aftermath of the Shanghai riots (a dead Chinese man lying in a doorway and the wrecked Bicycle shop).
Illuminated Manuscript Facsimile.- The Book of Kells. MS 58 Trinity College Dublin, 2 vol. (including commentary), one of 1480 copies, manuscript facsimile, original white kidskin, very lightly toned, housed in a black drop-back box with silver-plated metalwork and Irish knotwork designs tooled in gilt, commentary in original kidskin-backed buckram, spine a little rubbed and toned, folio, Luzern, 1990.⁂ The first full colour facsimile of the Book of Kells, an illuminated Gospel book produced in the British Isles in the ninth century. Pages are trimmed according to their original format, to replicate the look and feel of the manuscript.
Illuminated Manuscript Facsimile.- Il Libro d'Ore di Lorenzo de'Medici, 2 vol. (including commentary), one of 980 copies, manuscript facsimile, original purple velvet, 2 buttons of lapis lazuli, 8 of rose quartz, all in decorative gilt housings, gilt clasps flanked by decorative silver hearts, one lacking a chain link but working well, g.e., commentary in original navy velvet with fleur-de-lys design in gilt, Medici coat of arms to upper cover, together housed in a navy velvet clamshell box, lid with embedded Medici coat of arms in silver, two interior layers lined with white satin, a few small scratches to upper cover, lacking element of the fastening, 8vo, Modena, 2005.⁂ Facsimile of a richly illuminated late-fifteenth-century Book of Hours, commissioned by Lorenzo de' Medici as a wedding gift for one of his daughters. The manuscript is now held at the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana in Florence.
Binding.- Patrick (Simon) The Christian Sacrifice, defective, contemporary red morocco, probably by Queens' Binder A, richly gilt, covers with an all over design of linked 'drawer handles' around floral motifs with many petals infilled with black or silver paint, spine in compartments and decorated with painted floral motifs, rebacked, backstrip with some loss at head (restored) and faded, some petal paint faded or rubbed away, corners restored, some staining, rubbed, g.e., [?Wing P765], 12mo (151 x 91mm.), [?R. Royston], [?1682]. sold as a binding and not subject to return. ⁂ A number of the ornaments used here are very similar to item 61 in Howard Nixon's English Restoration Bookbindings, 1974 (Queens' Binder A, possibly William Nott).

Harris [&] J.Harris and B.Tabart, 1807-08; 1808, first editions, 12mo & 16mo (4)⁂ Despite being listed in Osborne the first is recorded on Library Hub and WorldCat in a single copy only (University of Oxford), with the frontispiece hand-coloured and lacking wrappers.
