Sheraton revival inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase, c. early 20th century, the bookcase with two glazed astragal doors enclosing a shelved interior, inlaid with boxwood stringing, above a cylinder bureau with a satinwood and mahogany tambour roller shutter enclosing a satinwood and amboyna inlaid secrétaire compartment of assorted sandalwood-lined fitted drawers with white metal handles (possibly silver) and a leather tooled pull-out writing slide, above a central drawer flanked by smaller drawers, on tapered legs with spade feet, 205cm high, 104cm wide and 56cm deep.
Silver cigarette box with engine turned top, on spreading base, Birmingham 1927, 18.5cm x 10.5cm.CONDITION REPORT: Minor distortion visible underneath at one corner. Small dent on top edge at one end of the lid. Nice cedar interior and oak base. Good joint. Lid closes snugly. No engraving.
Silver cigarette box with cushion cover, initialled, by Walker & Hall, 1910, 18cm.CONDITION REPORT: The hallmarks to the left side of the hinged cover struck twice and below. There is a cedar interior with a tooled base. Most of the leather is missing to the base. There are age-related dents and bashes to the corners. There are further dents, bashes, scratches and stains all over. Monogrammed to the top.
Tavannes silver watch for Hermès, no. 599309, with overcoil spring, 15 jewels, in engine striped silver case with sprung cover and angled shoulders, c. 1930s.CONDITION REPORT: This winds and goes, dial has very minor blemishes and slight staining. The end of one strap lug has a very minor bend - easily straightened. The case is otherwise good.
Pair of cut glass and silver whisky noggins of typical form, one by Heath and Middleton, 1906/7, the other by Hukin & Heath, Birmingham 1925, with labels.CONDITION REPORT: There is a tiny crack extending from the top of the handle on one, but this may be very old and not likely to extend. The other has a lid tag bent, but this is easily straightened.
Silver heavy shallow cup, after the antique, with shallow double bowl, embossed with paterae, on spreading stem and beaded foot, by Nathan and Hayes, Chester 1907, loaded, 11.5cm.CONDITION REPORT: No issues whatsoever, has been well looked after. The overall height is 14.3cm, without the handle it is 12.3cm. The diameter of the bowl is 11.5cm. The weight is 426g but as stated in the catalogue, it is loaded.
Perth: silver quaich of typical style, with square grips, without foot, by James Cornfute, c. 1800, 52mm diameter, 91mm over handles and 23mm high.CONDITION REPORT: Grips and top edge are hollow and latter has worn through in places. Generally good condition otherwise. Engraved W on one side, probably original.
