A rolling chassis for a 7 1/4 inch gauge Locomotive 'Black 5', built from Martin Evans drawings, Chassis almost completed except for some valve gear, wheel castings and tender materials present. This chassis is built to a very high standard by the vendor with much research carried out. The copper boiler parts for this Locomotive have been formed and prepared but not yet assembled by silver soldering. A comprehensive list of detail work and material specifications will be available for inspection at the auction room. Also the vendor will be pleased to discuss and advise the purchaser on the future build of this Locomotive.

A well engineered 3 inch scale model of a Burrell Agricultural Traction engine, built by the late Mr M Giles of Hampshire from Plastow castings, the engine with copper silver soldered boiler and fittings including steam pressure gauge, sight glass, safety, injector, whistle, clack and other valves. Engine details include single cylinder with 2in bore by 2 1/4in stroke, drain cocks, mechanical oiler, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, two road speeds, pickering type governor, whistle and spoked flywheel. Chassis details include spoked straked wheels with polished brass hub caps, cable drum and fairleads, water lifter and banded hand brake to rear wheel. Boiler history: Original boiler test certificate No 000165 signed R R Chamber of Weymouth. Boiler serial No RC1034. Hydraulic test pressure 200 psi.. The model finished in green lined paintwork with polished brightwork. Length 3'8Ó (112cm) Width 1'8Ó (50cm).
A part built well engineered 4 inch scale model of the Fowler Showmans engine 'Princess', built by the late Mr Ross of Worcestershire from Plastow castings the engine with silver soldered copper boiler by Morewood boilers of Bristol, A large portion of the build work has been completed with spoked wheels having fitted rubber tyres, all large gears cut and fitted, crank and most linkages completed, some connecting rods not present, cylinder block, pistol, governor etc completed but not yet attached to boiler, some gun metal castings and a possible dynamo comes with this engine. Engine details include cylinders High Pressure 2 3/4Ó Bore. Low Pressure 4Ó bore by 4in stroke, Chassis details include spoked straked wheels with solid rubber road tyres and polished brass hub caps, boiler unlagged and unused. The boiler comes with its original test certificate issued by Morewood Boilers of Bristol. Certificate Number 954. Hydraulic 220 psi. Working pressure 110 psi. Signed and dated the 12th of February 1986. The work on the showmans engine has been carried out to a high engineering standard and will be a very fine model when completed. No canopy work has been commenced. Length 7' 4Ó. Width 2' 6Ó.
