Vickery To Their Majesties 179.181.183 Regent Street W.' to the dials, in a silver mounted leather case bearing a monogram to the centre, with sliding back panel, bears hallmarks for London 1905 13in. wide x 8.5in. high (33 x 21.5cms) Presented to Lord Danesfort, who was a Member of Parliament for York, as John George Butcher, born 1853 died June 30th 1935 M. P. for York 1893-1906 made Freeman of York 1906 possibly when this presentation was made, created Knight in 1918 and to the Peerage in 1924 taking the title from estates in Ireland
A Frankenthal silver-mounted teapot and cover and a Meissen (Marcolini) teacup and saucer. THE FIRST CIRCA 1765, BLUE CROWNED CT MONOGRAM, THE PARIS MOUNT WITH IMPRESSED MARKS, THE TEACUP CIRCA 1800, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK. The first painted with bouquets, the mounts moulded with flowering plants on a trellis ground, the teacup and saucer painted with morning glory. The first 5s in. (14 cm.) high (4).
