A George V silver cut glass desk stand, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1918, the rectangular base with scroll and gadroon border, raised upon four scroll feet, with pen recess and fitted cut glass and silver mounted ink bottle, base 17.5cm x 13cm, bottle 5.5cm high, weight of base 7.50oztCR; Notable dent to the stand (visible as a black mark to the left of the bottle in picture two). No other obvious dents to the stand. No splitting, thinning or repair to the base. Moderate scratching and wear throughout the base commensurate with age and use. The stand is slightly wobbly on it's feet.There is a small chip to the bottom corner of the cut glass ink bottle, and some nibbling to the facet edges throughout. General scratching and wear throughout the glass, commensurate with age and use. Collar and cover in good order, some light denting, scratching and wear commensurate with age and use, but no splitting, thinning or repair. Cover opens smoothly, and closes flush. Hallmarks to bottle and stand match. Bottle is slightly loose in it's stand.

A George III silver coffee pot, London 1764 (maker's marks worn), of baluster form on raised foot, cast spout and scrolling ebonised wooden handle, hinged cover with flame finial, 26.5cm high, weight 27.10oztCR;Some denting to the body. Light scratching and wear throughout commensurate with age and use. Hallmarks are heavily worn. There are minor, beginning signs of splitting along the seam of the spout. There are a few small dents to the cover, and light scratching and wear throughout commensurate with age and use. Cover is slightly wobbly at the hinge, but is secure, opening smoothly and closing flush. There is signs of possible repair to the handle. See pictures for illustration.

A George V silver hot water jug, Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield 1923, of tapering cylindrical form on raised circular foot, hinged cover with urn finial, applied scroll detail to spout, c-scroll ebonised wooden handle, 19.5cm high, weight 14.19oztCR; The body and foot has a few small dents, moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. No thinning, splitting or signs of repair to the body. Handle in good order, no splitting or repair. Cover is good order, opening smoothly and closing flush.This piece would benefit from professional cleaning. 

Lot 162

An Egyptian synthetic sapphire set gold pendant brooch, the circular mixed cut synthetic sapphire measuring 16mm diameter, claw set to a pierced scalloped border with beaded detail, hinged pin and safety loop brooch fittings and pendant loop to reverse, Egyptian gold marks, 29mm diameter, weight 10.4gms, set to a gold plated silver chain, claw and loop fastening, 44.5cm long

Lot 17

A George V silver teapot, Chester 1925 (maker's marks worn), of compressed ovoid form with banded detail raised on circular foot, hinged cover with wooden knop and handle, 26cm long, weight 17.07oztCR: There is a moderate amount of denting to the body and spout, and scratching and wear throughout commensurate with age and use. There is some splitting around the opening of the spout, but no other major signs of splitting, thinning or repair. The knop is slightly tilted. There is no splitting or loss to the handle or the knop. There is extensive residue inside of the pot, and cleaning will be required.  

Lot 18

A Victorian silver cased boudoir timepiece, the circular white dial with Roman numerals, 30mm diameter, set to a shaped silver case with floral and scroll embossed detail on raised feet, marks for Rosenthal, Jacob & Co, London 1888, 7.5cm high, complete in fitted leather case (at fault)CR; This timepiece comes with associated key, however it does not tick when wound, and does not appear to be functioning. The dial does not show any cracks, chips or losses. The minute hand and stud and glazing may be a later replacement. There are no cracks chips or losses in the glazing. The glazing is loose in it's setting. There is moderate denting, scratching and wear throughout the case commensurate with age and use, and thinning to some of the highpoints, however there does not appear to be any obvious thinning or repair to the case. There is some gapping between the case/feet and base. Door opens smoothly and lock mechanism is in working order, however there are some slight gaps around the door. The travelling case shows extensive wear and tear throughout, and the lining to the inside of the cover has become detached.

Victoria pin, pheasant stopper are not marked. Thimbles are not marked and are not thought to be silver.Rattles: Both largely in good order. Owl example shows moderate denting, particularly to the bells. Both show moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use.Salt: Some misshaping to the border when viewed top down, some misshaping to the foot. Moderate loss to the engraved detail.Pickle fork shows misshaping to tines. Heavy scratching and chipping to the glass thistle.Miniature thimbles show very heavy scratching and wear.Stopper, card holders, multi-tool and pin appear largely in good order, showing general scratching and wear commensurate with age and use.

Brooch/Pendant mount on spider brooch is broken and will require replacement. Heavy scratching and wear throughout. Fan shaped example appears to be missing dropper. 'Mother' mount is loose, and wobbles on mother of pearl backing. All examples show light denting, general scratching and wear.Knife rests: Heavy loss to the plate, heavy scratching and wear throughout. Both wobble slightly on a level surface.Thimble and bellows are largely in good order.

The stick pin appears to be later, late-Victorian.
