A Gilt Brass Engraved Porcelain Mounted Striking and Repeating Carriage Clock, circa 1890, carrying handle and repeat button, scroll and floral engraved case with side porcelain panels depicting figures in costume within a landscape, porcelain dial with a Roman numeral chapter ring and decorated to the borders with figures beside a lake, twin barrel movement with a platform lever escapement and striking on a gong, 16cm high over handle see illustration 21.02.17, Silver gilt surfaces are rubbed and faded, case needs re-gilding, right hand side porcelain panel with crazing marks, dial with minor areas around the outer gilt chapter ring which has not been painted up to the gilt border, movement plates are dirty, movement needs cleaning, movement springs are winding up correctly, repeat button and strike is working, movement in going order.
